Rich Eisen moving his show to ESPN in surprise reunion

Rich Eisen is taking 'The Rich Eisen Show' from The Roku Channel to ESPN nearly two decades after he left the network in 2003, The Athletic reported on Monday. Eisen's program, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. ET, will live in ESPN's new direct-to-consumer service, launching this fall, the report said. The show reportedly will be licensed by ESPN and Eisen, 55, is expected to maintain ownership and editorial control — similar to the network's deal with Pat McAfee, who has significant control over 'The Pat McAfee Show.' Eisen's program will also be featured on ESPN+, the network's streaming-only option, and Disney+. There is a 'strong possibility' Eisen's show could land on ESPN Radio, per the report. However, Eisen will not be on ESPN's linear networks, which include ESPN2 and ESPNews. The terms of the reported deal are unknown at this time. Eisen was part of ESPN's NFL Draft coverage last month. Eisen will remain the featured host on NFL Network's 'GameDay' and its draft coverage, according to The Athletic, which said he will also call select regular-season games for the network. ESPN reportedly tried to recruit Colin Cowherd to its direct-to-consumer offering, which launches this fall, during a meeting with Disney chairman Jimmy Pitaro, but he opted to stay at Fox Sports and his podcast network, The Volume. ESPN declined to comment to The Athletic.

Ben Affleck reveals how Tom Brady gave him 'greatest day' aside from birth of his children

Ben Affleck has revealed that Tom Brady gave him the 'greatest day' of his life besides the births of his children. The 52-year-old actor - who is embroiled in drama with ex Jennifer Lopez - appeared on The New Heights podcast hosted by Taylor Swift 's boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. In the episode released on Wednesday, Ben recalled that one of the most memorable moments of his life was getting to 'run routes' as he played football with the 47-year-old seven-time Super Bowl champion. Jason asked: 'How many completions did we get? What were you running? What kind of routes are you running?' Ben replied: 'I won't lie to you. I don't know if they have a name. I'm sure I disgraced every receiver that's ever run around. But to this day, aside from the birth of my children, that was the greatest day.' The A-lister shares three children - Violet Anne, 19, Seraphina Rose, 16, and Samuel, 13 - with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Ben revealed how the athletic hangout happened with NFL legend Tom as they happened to be on vacation at the same location as he needed 'someone to play catch with.' The Town actor recalled: 'I was like [thinking] how much I was helping him. I think he was like, "I'm gonna f***ing blow this dude out of the car." And we literally got down there. And at first he's like, "Okay, go out here, turn around, turn around." 'And I'm like, "Alright," run as fast as I can [and] turn around. I fix to look at him, he's been waiting 45 minutes. I caught [the ball] because I was afraid of breaking my nose more than anything else. And then after a few of those, he's like, "Alright. We'll put some air on [the ball]." I was like, "No. No, it's already plenty fast."' Ben went on to say that Tom had him perform a bit of role play as he told him to pretend it was the fourth quarter of a football game with 23 seconds left on the clock and the team needing a big play with a fourth and 18. The quarterback icon told him to 'just run' as Ben explained: 'So he's like, look, look, calls it out. I start running, I don't look back. I'm sure to him it seemed like this. He's like, "I've never seen somebody run-in slow motion." To me, I was going as fast as you can go. 'And I'm like wondering when's this ball going to show up? And I look, I just feel like right out in front of me. And it was a little far for me. I think he probably adjusted back, and I reach out and I have to go all out extend [and] I f***ing catch it' The Kelce brothers - who are both all-pro NFL talents - gassed Ben up as they cheered 'let's go!' as the actor described the impressive athletic accomplishment. Ben said that he told 'everybody he knew' that he was able to do it before gushing about Tom. The actor also was savaged for his appearance on The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady , which was part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which was streamed live in May 2024 He said: 'It was like the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me, and I lived a full life of dreams. Right in that whatever hour of playing catch.' Ben went on to work with Tom on the famous 'DunKings' Super Bowl commercial for Dunkin' Donuts released in February 2024. The actor also was savaged for his appearance on The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which was part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which was streamed live in May 2024. The performance featured a number of awkward jokes and a lengthy rant about social media trolls, with many on Twitter branding his set the worst of the night.

Travis Kelce says there's a Taylor Swift song for everything, is correct

Travis Kelce says there's a Taylor Swift song for everything, is correct The New Heights podcast returned after a brief, post-Super Bowl hiatus, and the brotherly duo of Jason and Travis Kelce welcomed hockey bros Matt and Brady Tkachuk. While topics for the episode covered everything from football to pop culture to -- of course -- USA hockey and the 4 Nations Face Off, the Kelces also discussed music. "The only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first," Travis said when asked whether his go-to tunes when in a funk were happy or sad. After saying he preferred sad music when melancholy, Kelce "I just listen to Taylor's music. She has something for everything." Taylor, of course is singer Taylor Swift, Kelce's girlfriend for nearly two years. And he's not wrong. With a discography of over 270 songs and across multiple genres, the 14-time Grammy winner really does have a song for everything.
