Brittany Snow says her mom still had a 'Hunting Wives' watch party despite racy scenes
Brittany Snow's mom watches all of her daughter's films and TV shows — even the ones she has to fast forward through.
While discussing her role in 'The Hunting Wives' during an appearance on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' this week, the actor said she had to warn her mother about the raunchy series before she tuned in.
The relatable conversation began when Meyers pointed out that 'The Hunting Wives' is 'a little racier' than most Netflix shows.
'What was your reaction when you heard it was going to be sort of on this major platform?' he asked.
'Equal parts very grateful, excited and completely nauseous,' Snow replied.
'Yeah, because now your entire family, and the whole world, there's a much higher percentage they were all going to see it,' Meyers added.
'Yes, and a lot more people would see me unclothed,' Snow said.
In 'The Hunting Wives,' Snow's character, Sophie, moves with her husband and son from Massachusetts to Texas and befriends a group of southern women.
Sophie and one of her new pals Margo (Malin Akerman), who is in a somewhat open marriage with the town's leading businessman and aspiring politician — Jed (Dermot Mulroney), become romantically involved, and spicy sex scenes ensue.
Snow said she warned her family about the suggestive scenes in the show, but that didn't stop her mother from watching.
'My mom, she has a group of women that are sort of her friends for life. They're called 'The Playgroup,' and they all gather around and they watch things that I'm in,' the 39-year-old said.
Snow went on to imagine how the group must've responded to the series.
'And so this was a really interesting party for them with their wine coolers and their cheese boards and just, 'Oh, we've got to fast forward through that. Nope, we're going to fast forward. Oh, we have to fast forward again,'' she said.
Snow said she wasn't sure how much of 'The Hunting Wives' the group ended up watching, but Meyers got a kick out of it.
'I like their feedback. It was so bingeable. Each episode was like six minutes,' he joked.
'Yeah, exactly. It really just flew by, didn't it?' Snow responded.
This isn't Snow's first experience with on-screen nudity, of course. She also starred in the film 'X' in 2022 and played an adult film star.
Snow referenced the role during her interview with Meyers and said she had to fake a southern accent for that film.
When the crowd cheered, she teased, 'So you all have seen me naked. Just a little bit.'
