EXCLUSIVE Lara Flynn Boyle, 55, shows off her famously svelte frame during first public outing in two years
Stick-thin Lara Flynn Boyle was spotted in a rare public outing while walking her dog near her Los Angeles home, photos show. The Twin Peaks alum, 55, who tends to keep a low-profile these days, broke cover last Thursday for a relaxing stroll - and cigarette break - around her Bel-Air neighborhood. The reclusive Hollywood actress went makeup-free for the excursion which marks the first time she has been seen out and about in nearly two years. Her time away from the spotlight, however, appears to have treated her well, still sporting a fresh face and her famously svelte frame. Boyle looked casual and cozy in gray sweatpants and sandals, keeping warm from the early morning LA chill in a white baseball cap and green light puffer jacket. At one point Lara stopped to chat with a handsome male neighbor, shaking his hand and sharing some banter while pointing out to him where she lives. Lara still has her famously svelte figure more than two decades after her last major role as Helen on The Practice Though she has been married to real estate investor Donald Ray Thomas for nearly two decades, she made the quick foray outdoors alone with her pup. Boyle made her name in cult classic TV show Twin Peaks, which marked its 35th anniversary in April, and went on to star in a host of other projects including Wayne's World, Happiness, and Men In Black II. She famously dated Jack Nicholson on and off for seven years until 2004 but has been married her second husband, whom she calls 'my urban cowboy', since 2006. Boyle had appeared to retreat from the limelight in recent years until last summer, when she starred in her first film in four years, the comedy-drama, Mother, Couch, alongside Ewan McGregor, F. Murray Abraham and Lake Bell. At one point she began making headlines over her drinking habits, but revealed in a recent interview that she has been sober since 2019. 'Those disco boots, they've had their time,' she told People magazine in July 2024. Back in 2018, published photos of Lara drinking out of a Johnnie Walker bottle while behind the wheel of her car in a Westwood parking lot. Boyle did not comment on whether those photos caused her to want to stop drinking. But she did allow: 'Some people are allergic to it; some people are un-allergic to it.' Boyle's personal life, specifically her high-profile on-again, off-again relationship with Nicholson was also the subject of media attention in the late 90s and early 2000s. Hollywood icon Nicholson, now 88, is 33 years her senior. The pair sparked up a romance in 1999. The couple called it quits in 2004, but were last photographed together in 2006, months before she met her current husband. During the same interview, Boyle made a rare comment about her former lover, who she referred to as a 'huge part of' her life. While reflecting on their relationship the actress raved that she views it as 'seven years of great times.' 'It's seven years of wonderful,' the Davenport, Iowa, native, who married Texas real estate investor Thomas, back in 2006, elaborated. Although Boyle said she no longer hangs out with the three-time Oscar winner she did confirm to People that they still keep in touch. While speaking about her long-lasting marriage, she credited its longevity to 'honesty, maturity, experience and respect.' Flynn also took the opportunity to shut down the claims that she met Nicholson while out with her then-boyfriend David Spade. The Saturday Night Live alum in 2015 alleged that 'Nicholson asked Lara Flynn Boyle out in front of me, while we were all smoking a doob somewhere.' Three decades later, Boyle emphatically shut down the story as she insisted that 'never happened.' 'I think certain people like to embellish that for publicity,' she said. Following her relationship with Nicholson, Boyle said she never dated another movie star. 'I left with a bang when it came to actors,' she mused. Earlier this year, Nicholson 's daughter Lorraine opened up about her dad dating Boyle when she was growing up. Lorraine, 35, whose mom is actress and model Rebecca Broussard, 62, told Vanity Fair in January that Boyle became her 'role model' and dubbed her the 'Mary Poppins of Mulholland Drive'. However, she revealed that when she recently contacted Boyle to ask if they could speak for the first time in 20 years, her request was denied.

The legendary William Shatner is set to attend a special screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan at the Fillmore in New Orleans on August 1. Stan Fields in Miss Congeniality (2000) Miss Congeniality was a goofy comedy which starred Sandra Bullock as an FBI agent who goes undercover to participate in a beauty contest and foil a bomb threat. It featured Shanter as the clueless host and he stole every scene he appeared in with his effortless performance. While he had a fairly short role in Miss Congeniality, he managed to steal the show nonetheless. TJ Hooker in TJ Hooker (1982-1986) The well-received cop drama was designed as a star vehicle for Shatner and it delivered the good. The show, which featured him in the role of Sgt Thomas Jefferson Hooker emerged as a runaway hit and helped the actor give proof of his mettle. TJ Hooker was set in an unnamed city and also featured Heather Locklear (then a newcomer) in a key role.

David E. Kelley is set to receive the Visionary Tribute at the 2025 Gotham TV Awards, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Kelley is being recognized for his work as showrunner on Apple TV+'s Presumed Innocent TV series, the first season of which starred Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as his long Emmy-winning career, including his work on such memorable series as L.A. Law; Doogie Howser, M.D.; Chicago Hope; The Practice; Ally McBeal; and Big Little Lies. FKA twigs shows off her extraterrestrial star power at unbridled Eusexua rave
FKA twigs mounts a dancer on all fours and rides him across the stage. 'It feels nice,' the artist born Tahliah Barnett coos in her breathy, pixie voice. A group of pulsating performers surround her, two-stepping to the glitchy techno beat of 'Room of Fools'. The song appears on her club-inspired third album Eusexua, a term the 37-year-old coined to describe an enlightened state of clarity and freedom, like the 'moment before an orgasm'. 'Eusexua' might not have had the same impact as Charli XCX's 'Brat', but Eusexua the album – Twigs's first to reach the Top 10 in the UK – marks the pop star's wildly successful pivot to club music. It follows a knockout promotional campaign that has seen her trapped in cages inside east-London warehouse raves, dancing in Severance -style offices and posting soliloquies from her bathtub. She sounds right at home on the album, planting her experimental flag into a nightclub's sticky dance floor. One giant leap. Tonight, then, is twigs's victory dance. At Magazine London in the industrial Greenwich Peninsula, bright text flashes on a screen to introduce Act I: The Practice. Already, it's as if we've been transported to Berlin to watch the last ones standing at a techno nightclub (the type where phones are banned and it's socially unacceptable to arrive before 1am). twigs angrily rips off her beige maxi dress to reveal her nude underwear to the metallic thumps of 'Striptease'. 'I'm borderline, it's getting late, I feel alive,' she sings. Act II: State of Being sees twigs – a classically trained dancer – suspended upside-down in a chain swing as the album's title track plays. Our Eusexua bubble is briefly popped for a mashup of the turbocharged track 'Honda' (featuring Pa Salieu) and the party-ready dancehall song 'Papi Bones' (with Shygirl), both from 2022's Caprisongs. The rave continues in a Madonna-inspired segment, as dancers perform an electrifying catwalk routine to Madge's 1990 hit 'Vogue'. twigs appears in a black shimmering cowboy hat, do-si-doing to the 'Ray of Light'-hued 'Girl Feels Good'. The crowd sings along to the sound of warbling, trance-inflected synths: 'When a girl feels good, it makes the world go 'round.' Twigs's star power is unmistakable, and every facet of her extraterrestrial artistry is on display tonight. Across the two-hour set, she pirouettes around a pole in metallic pleasers to '24hr Dog', delivers a Kill Bill -style fight scene for 'Numbers' and executes intricate lift work at the flick of a switch. You're loath to look away, but visibility is perhaps the only issue here: complex choreography is frequently missed due to the shortness of the stage in such a huge industrial venue. That isn't enough to stop the party, though, and twigs certainly isn't done yet. She closes the night with an emotional acoustic rendition of 'Cellophane', a melancholy analysis of a crumbling relationship, from her 2019 album Magdalene. 'Why won't you do it for me? / When all I do is for you,' she demands, tearing up as she stands inside a gargantuan cube, her hair styled into spikes and her black PVC dress doubling as a tent. She nervously breathes down the microphone then stops. Somehow, she's commanded this rave into silence.
