'I'm choosing to break free from this cycle': Nonku Williams quits 'The Real Housewives of Durban'
As viewers of The Real Housewives of Durban eagerly await the last few episodes and the upcoming reunion, the longest standing contestant Nonku Williams dropped a bombshell on her timeline announcing her decision to leave the show. In a lengthy Instagram post, Nonku said she would not attend the upcoming reunion, citing a toxic environment and its negative effect on her mental health. 'As I take a moment to reflect on my journey with The Real Housewives of Durban, I'm compelled to share my truth with you. After much reflection, I've made the decision not to return to the show and to distance myself from the reunion. It's not an easy choice, but it's one I must make,' she said. 'Watching myself on screen, I'm confronted with a reality that's hard to accept. The woman I see isn't someone I recognise or respect. I've played a role in shaping this narrative but I'm also a product of the show's dynamics. The relentless pursuit of drama, the pitting of women against each other, the gossip and the put-downs — it's a toxic cycle that wears me down. 'As I look to the future, I'm reminded of my responsibilities — to myself, my children, my faith and the community. I want to make a difference, to leave a positive mark on the world. This show, with its destructive tendencies, isn't the platform for that. 'I've come to realise I have a responsibility to myself to prioritise my wellbeing, to protect my mental health and to surround myself with positivity. I have a responsibility to my children to be a good role model, to show them the importance of kindness, empathy and compassion. I have a responsibility to my faith to uphold the values that are important to me, to be a light in the darkness and to spread love and kindness. I have a responsibility to the community to be a force for good, to uplift and inspire others and to make a positive impact.' Nonku, who has been a reality TV star for nearly five years and has also featured in a spin-off show called The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip — South Africa, thanked her fans for their support. 'I'm choosing to break free from this cycle, to seek a path that uplifts and inspires. I'm choosing to use my platform to spread love, kindness and positivity. I'm choosing to be a role model for my children and for others who may be watching. I'm choosing to prioritise my wellbeing and to take care of myself. I'm choosing to be authentic, to be true to myself and to live a life that reflects my values. 'As I close this chapter, I hope my story can serve as testament to the power of self-awareness, courage and redemption.'

I really wanted to hurt her.' But ten years later, Brandi, Eddie and LeAnn buried the hatchet and became besties. 'It's the old saying, time heals,' said Brandi in the interview this year. 'I've forgiven the two of them for breaking up my family. 'We're friends.' Brandi said the fact that all three were getting on so well makes the episode all the more upsetting. 'I just don't understand it,' she said. Brandi and Eddie met in a nightclub and married in 2001. She thought she'd married her 'Prince Charming' but then in 2008, Eddie made a movie with LeAnn and the fairytale unravelled. She found out about the affair in a magazine. 5 LeAnn told her side of the story to a magazine Credit: US Weekly/American Media, Inc. 5 Brandi with Eddie, LeAnn, and her two sons at an Easter party Credit: Instagram 'Pictures of Eddie and LeAnn kissing in a restaurant were plastered across the pages of a magazine,' she said later. 'It was devastating. I went home, passed out in my closet, and cried and cried. 'She was married at the time, also. This affair was ruining two families.' Brandi hated Eddie and LeAnn. 'It was really ugly,' she said. 'I did not want my kids around her. She had got my husband and she was not getting my children. 'I was out for revenge. 'She knew how to wind me up. I don't think LeAnn understood how she should behave to the mother of her husband's children. "She would say things like, 'I can't wait for them to call me 'mum' and 'I can't wait to make your kids' sandwiches.'" The three of them went to therapy. They saw three separate therapists, but it didn't work. The turning point for Brandi was when her sons told her: 'Mum, all we want is for everyone to get along.' The irony of the present situation is that the reconciliation came about as a result of Brandi's thinking how childish it was to keep having two separate parties for special occasions. 'The boys would have two birthdays, two Christmases. I was like: Why are we having two separate parties? 'Why don't we grow up and have parties all together?' Why, indeed? Both Eddie and LeAnn responded 'positively' to Brandi's suggestion they start having joint parties. 'So we started having birthdays and Christmas at LeAnn and Eddie's house,' Brandi said earlier this year. 'They have a pool, they have a nicer house, it's better for hosting events. It has its advantages. I don't have to host, cook, or clean. 'We do things together as a family. If Jake has wrestling, all four of us will go. It's a family affair.' Things were so civilised that Mason, with Brandi's blessing, was living most of the time at Eddie and LeAnn's house, where he had 'his own space'. Brandi said in January that as Jake would soon be turning 18, she, Eddie and LeAnn were planning to go and look at some colleges together. That, presumably, won't be happening anytime soon.

Brandi Glanville Says She Visited Botched's Dr. Terry Dubrow for ‘4' Face Biopsies Amid Health Issues
Brandi Glanville is seeking help from another reality TV legend for her facial disfigurement. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum turned to Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow as she sought out medical advice to treat her abnormal facial swelling, which she feared was caused by 'parasites.' 'Yes guys, @DrDubrow took 4 tiny biopsy's [sic] from my face so we can continue to get better,' Brandi, 52, wrote via X on Wednesday, January 29. 'Ez pz no pain I was in and out on 30 minutes now we wait.' Brandi accepted the celebrity doctor's public offer to treat her condition in December 2024, as Dr. Dubrow, 66, disagreed with her initial belief that parasites were the cause. 'I saw one of her interviews and I've seen the picture of her, the one where she is swollen, the one where she is really deflated with the irregular skin,' the medical professional told TMZ at the time. 'Here's the thing, here's what Brandi really needs to focus on… and it's not her fault, it's her doctor's fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis.' He believed her facial issues weren't caused by a parasite or something she ate but rather by 'an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she had injected,' leading to a bacterial infection. 'There are these two kinds of microorganisms, one's called a Microbacterium and the other is called a fungus, and they can be very difficult to treat and could take six to 12 months of antibiotics to treat,' he continued. 'Every minute the microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage she could suffer worse for it. It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scars and more nodules.' Brandi later confirmed she was having all her facial fillers dissolved after she got in contact with Dr. Dubrow. 'I appreciate all the help I can get. We have been in touch and plan to talk thank you for all the love,' she wrote via X on December 13, 2024. "All fillers that were in my face have been dissolved. I have seen all the best doctors at Cedar Sinai and all the doctors they referred me to.' The Bravo celebrity previously opened up about spending more than $70,000 in temporary solutions to attempts to fix the issue. 'Honestly, I have so many doctors and I've had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000,' she said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. 'I ran every test under the sun.… They're like, 'It could be a parasite.'' Although she doesn't know the origin of her condition yet, Brandi initially believed she contracted the ailment while she was in Morocco filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. 'We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat. In Morocco,' she told Entertainment Tonight late last year, explaining her symptoms started popping up once she returned home. 'Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing, it started in July and we're still here trying to figure it out.'
