Disturbed's New Single Matches One Of The Band's Biggest Hits

After 12 weeks on the Billboard charts, Disturbed's new single "I Will Not Break" is on the decline. The track still appears on multiple rankings, but it's falling on each and every one of them. At this point, it doesn't look like it will climb any higher on any roster — although it has already reached the summit on most of the tallies on which it appears.
Now, it's all about longevity. And, already, after only a few months, the latest from the hard rockers stands out as one of the group's longest-running successes on a competitive list.
"I Will Not Break" has now spent an even dozen weeks on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart — Billboard's ranking of the most consumed tunes in that style. The company blends sales and streaming data as well as total audience impressions at radio to paint a picture of which hard rock tracks are the most popular in the U.S. This frame, "I Will Not Break" dips from No. 8 to No. 13 – but it's the length of time that's really notable.
With 12 weeks to its credit on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, "I Will Not Break" is tied as Disturbed's second-longest-running win ever on the tally. It is now matched with "Don't Tell Me," a collaboration with Ann Wilson. That tune debuted in early 2024 and also held on for an even 12 frames before disappearing. It's highly likely that "I Will Not Break" will, in fact, break that tie in just a few days, since it's still living in the middle of the list and is unlikely to drop precipitously in the span of just a week.
Only one track stands ahead of both "Don't Tell Me" and "I Will Not Break," and it's "Hey You." That tune, which arrived in the summer of 2024, peaked at No. 4 and went on to spend exactly half a year, or 26 frames, on the Hot Hard Rock Songs ranking. That's more than twice as long as both "Don't Tell Me" and "I Will Not Break." Whether Disturbed's latest focus cut will be able to catch up by holding on for several more months is tough to predict, as it's already on the downswing.
"I Will Not Break" currently appears on three Billboard charts, and it earns its lowest placement on the Hot Hard Rock Songs tally. The tune still lives inside the top five on both the Rock & Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay lists, where it declines ever so slightly to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
At the same time, two different versions of Disturbed's "The Sound of Silence" remain bestsellers. The original settles at No. 7 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, while the Cyril remix slips one space to No. 3 on the Dance Digital Song Sales tally.
