Fertilisers to be distributed from today in Jewargi and Yadrami

Kalaburagi: In the last two days, 1,000 tonnes of urea fertiliser stock has arrived in Jewargi, and distribution to farmers will commence on Monday from 22 centres in Jewargi and Yadrami. Speaking to The TOI, Jewargi MLA Dr Ajay Singh stated, "No farmer should face hassles while purchasing urea. No one should cheat farmers by creating artificial deprivation." He clarified that he already informed the Agriculture, Revenue and Welfare Department of Jewargi taluk for strict action. Responding to the press reports of farmers struggling in the queue for urea, Singh formed teams comprising the revenue, agriculture and health departments, including nine centres in Jewargi town, where urea and DAP will be distributed across all 22 centres in Yadrami and Jewargi taluks. Intensive monitoring is in place to ensure that the fertilisers are distributed to farmers in need. The MLA added, "We have already informed the Jevargi and Yadrami tahsildars and agriculture officer Chandrakanta Jeevnagi." Singh further stated, "1,000 tonnes of urea has been stocked in the past two days, including the 600 tonnes that now arrived in Jewargi. Farmers should not worry for any reason. Continuous monitoring of the supply of required seeds and fertiliser is being maintained. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo If someone asks for more money, they should complain to agriculture department." MLA Ajay Singh instructed the agricultural authorities to take legal action if anyone tries to create artificial deprivation. He urged farmers not to depend solely on urea, advising them to visit farmer contact centres, consult agriculture officials, and use compound fertilisers suitable for their crops and field soil. "Fertilisers use excessive compounds like NPK, nitrogen, phosphorus. Nano urea is also an alternative to urea. By using such fertilisers, the dependence on urea should be reduced a little," Ajay Singh requested the Jewargi and Yadrami taluk farmers. Newly engaged couple among victims of AI-171 crash

Surat: What began as a joyous chapter in the lives of Surat's Vibhuti Patel and Botad's Hardik Avaiya ended in heartbreak, as the young couple lost their lives in the tragic Air India AI-171 incident. The two had recently returned to Gujarat to celebrate their engagement, only to meet a tragic end on their journey back to the UK. Vibhuti Patel (27), a native of Umbhel village in Surat's Kamrej taluka, had completed her bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from a college in Surat before moving to the UK to pursue her master's at Leicester College. There she met Hardik Avaiya, a fellow student from Botad. The two soon fell in love and decided to spend their lives together. "They had come home on a 10-day leave to get engaged," said Darshan Patel, deputy sarpanch of Umbhel village, while speaking to The TOI. "Vibhuti was once a member of the Umbhel gram panchayat and was known to be a bright and dedicated student. The couple had just celebrated their engagement in Umbhel last week before boarding AI-171 to return to the UK." Their love story, which blossomed thousands of miles from home, had won the blessings of both families. Vibhuti's father works as a clerk at a local banana co-operative. She is survived by her younger sister and brother. Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here .
