An Electrical Issue Momentarily Pauses IndyCar Broadcast From The Thermal Club
Around 25 laps into The Thermal Club IndyCar Grand Prix, FOX had to scramble when they lost the live feed of the race due to a technical issue in the IndyCar production truck.
While Pato O'Ward continued to lead the race through a second cycle of pit stops, IndyCar fans were instead watching the start of the second stage of the NASCAR Cup Series Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. For around 15 minutes, both FS1 and FOX showed the NASCAR race as IndyCar worked to fix their issues.
The stream was recovered, and racing resumed on the screen 36 laps later, with O'Ward still in the lead of his teammate Christian Lundgaard. Alex Palou follows in third, with the top three qualifiers still leading the race.
The team's social admin, without the help of the broadcast, tried to keep their fans updated through the live leaderboard that stayed functioning through the entire ordeal. Andretti Global reacted to the panic with Might Also Like
