The event will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It will celebrate achievements in theater and include performances from Broadway Tony Awards ceremony will begin at 8:00 PM ET and end at 11:00 PM ET. Viewers on the West Coast can watch from 5:00 PM PT to 8:00 PM PT. The show will broadcast live on CBS. It will also stream live on Paramount+ for online viewers.A special preshow called The Tony Awards: Act One will begin at 6:40 PM ET / 3:40 PM PT. It will stream for free on Pluto TV on its 'Live Music' channel. The preshow will feature early award announcements. Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry will serve as hosts for this segment.A reunion of the original Hamilton cast will take place during the show. The performance marks the musical's 10th anniversary on Broadway. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Okieriete Onaodowan will participate. They will be joined by original ensemble members including Ariana DeBose, Javier Muñoz, Jon Rua and Ephraim Tony Awards will also include performances from nominated musicals. This year's Best Musical nominees include Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, Operation Mincemeat and Dead Outlaw. Each will present a number during the live Award winner Cynthia Erivo will host the main event. A total of 26 competitive awards will be presented. These range from acting categories to technical design fields. Some awards may be pre-recorded and shown in short clips during the main ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. The preshow will stream for free on Pluto TV on the 'Live Music' original Hamilton cast will reunite for a special performance. Other performances will feature musical numbers from the five Best Musical nominees.

Criss, who has starred in Broadway productions of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and is nominated for his role in Maybe Happy Ending, and Goldsberry, a singer and actress who originated the role of Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway musical Hamilton, will host the show June 8 at 6:40 p.m. EDT on Pluto TV. Criss and Goldsberry will present the first round of Tony Awards during the pre-show telecast. The 78th annual Tony Awards will follow at 8 p.m. on CBS. The awards show will also stream on Paramount+. Cynthia Erivo will host the event from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Sadie Sink, Sarah Snook, George Clooney, Bob Odenkirk, Nicole Scherzinger, Daniel Dae Kim and other stars are among this year's nominees.
