'Virgin River' season 7 update: Alexandra Breckenridge teases wrap-up; two new characters to stir drama in town
'Virgin River' season 7 'Virgin River' fans should get ready as season 7 is almost here! Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays the beloved Mel Sheridan, recently took to Instagram to offer a lighthearted but honest update about the filming process. The actor revealed that production is nearing completion, describing it as a long but exciting journey. 'I feel like I'm on day 857 of filming Season 7… We're almost done!' she joked in her video post, visibly tired but thrilled to be approaching the finish line. Though the OTT platform is yet to announce an official release date but Breckenridge's comments, as shared in a recent Deadline report, suggest fans might not have to wait too long. With filming nearly wrapped, speculation is high that the new season could arrive sometime in 2025. Fresh faces bring new tension to 'Virgin River' Season 7 won't just pick up where it left off, but it's also shaking things up with two new additions to the cast. 'The Vampire Diaries' alum Sara Canning joins as Victoria, a former police officer who was injured on duty and now works for the state medical board. Her character is expected to directly impact Doc, whose medical license was suspended at the end of last season, setting the stage for some serious tension. Another new face is Cody Kearsley, best known for his role in 'Riverdale.' He will portray Clay, a rugged rodeo worker on a mission to find his long-lost younger sister. Clay's storyline promises to introduce a fresh emotional arc, possibly tying into some of the show's core families. Production nears completion, release date still under wraps While there's still no official date but all the signs point to a 2025 premiere for 'Virgin River' Season 7. The sixth season landed in December 2024 and filming for the follow up began shortly after. Breckenridge didn't confirm anything in her video but playfully asked fans whether they thought the release would happen this year but she left by keeping the mystery alive. With returning favorites new conflicts and emotional storylines ahead, 'Virgin River' Season 7 is shaping up to be a standout chapter in the hit Netflix series. Fans will just have to stay tuned a little longer for an exact release date but if Breckenridge's excitement is anything to go by, it'll be worth the wait.

‘Yellowjackets' star Steven Krueger on his ‘amazing' bond with fiancée Candice King's kids — and their wedding plans
It was love at first bite. Steven Krueger and Candice King first met in 2013 while filming 'The Vampire Diaries' spinoff 'The Originals,' and now they are engaged. Not only is Krueger, 35, marrying King, 38, but he's gaining two step-daughters, as the 'Kingshighway' actress is mom to daughters Florence, 9, and Josephine, 4, with ex-husband Joe King. They are the sweetest children,' Krueger gushed exclusively to The Post at a fundraiser for the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter's Fund put on by the Television Academy Foundation last Sunday. (The actress filed for divorce from the Fray guitarist in April 2022 after nearly seven years of marriage.) It's very sweet I get to take them on as well.' After going Instagram official in 2023, the 'Yellowjackets' star and the 'Supernatural' alum have been inseparable, so popping the question was inevitable. 'I think it's been a long time coming,' Krueger admitted. 'We've been together for a couple of years now, and it's something I've been thinking about for a while. She has kids, so we wanted to make sure they were ready as well.' 10 Steven Krueger and Candice King attend the 'Yellowjackets' S3 Global Premiere at Chateau Marmont. 'I think she knew at some point,' he continued, 'but it was definitely a surprise on the day when it happened.' Right now, the pair are sinking their teeth into engaged life. 'We are starting to have conversations,' said Krueger about wedding planning. 'I think, for the moment, we are enjoying the engagement; we're not going to rush it. We want to see how work stuff goes over the next year. But we are starting to toss around some ideas about where we want to do it [and] exactly what we want to do. There's a lot of possibilities.' 'I think once we settle on one of those, then we'll have some things to bite into.' Candice starred as Caroline Forbes in the CW drama and later the spinoff, while Krueger came into the universe as Josh Rosza. The supernatural world also included Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Zach Roerig, Kat Graham, Michael Trevino, Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies. 'We are going to our friend Michael Trevino's wedding, who is also on 'Vampire Diaries,' in a few weeks. So there will be a lot of the cast there, and we'll have most of the people at ours.' Advertisement 'We have a bunch of group chats,' noted Krueger. 'Little ones going and then these fan conventions all the time. It's so fun because a few times a year, we all get together and reminisce about old times and just catch up with each other, and we don't see each other all that much outside of it.' 10 Steven Krueger in 'The Originals.' ©CW Network/Courtesy Everett Collection / Everett Collection 10 Candice King and Joseph Morgan on 'The Originals.' ©CW Network/Courtesy Everett Collection / Everett Collection While all the players in 'The Vampire Diaries' universe have branched out to separate projects, the actor would love to get back on the screen with his real-life fiancée. 'I was this close to being a lawyer and almost went to law school,' he explained, 'and took a sharp left turn and ended up doing this instead. So I've always said at some point, it will come full circle, and I will get to play a lawyer on TV. So I think that's in the future. '[The showrunners] said, 'Hey, this season is going to be the end for Coach Ben,' which I kind of had an inkling,' he recalled to The Post earlier this month. 'We had discussed it kind of informally at the very beginning of the show. So, I kind of knew Season 3 was about the time range.' 10 Steven Krueger in season 3 of 'Yellowjackets.' So truly everything was done in such a kind way, and it allowed me to kind of also prepare for exactly what I needed to do for kind of the overall arc of the season.'

‘Vampire Diaries' Cast: Where Are They Now? Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and More
The Vampire Diaries' 2009 premiere introduced fans to one of the most memorable vampire-themed series to date. The CW show, which ran for eight seasons until 2017, took place in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, home to mythical creatures and humans alike. In addition to tales of people becoming vampires, or finding out they have powers — which was the case with Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) — the series brought to life one of the most memorable TV love triangles. After teenager Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) fell for vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and later his bad boy brother, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), fans were forced to decide which of the two heartthrobs they'd want to romance. Although Elena did choose one over the other by season 8, many of the show's fanbase are divided between Team Stefan and Team Damon. Offscreen, the cast — which also included Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, Joseph Morgan and many more — formed a lifelong bond, which has remained strong partially due to a group text.
