Lisa Vanderpump's future Vegas hotel catches fire
A fire broke out at the site of Lisa Vanderpump's upcoming hotel in Las Vegas, but was quickly extinguished, with no injuries reported. The blaze occurred in the parking lot of The Cromwell, a boutique hotel being transformed into The Vanderpump Hotel, according to Caesars Entertainment. The fire was swiftly controlled, and as a precaution, several guest rooms were briefly evacuated. Kala B. Peterson, Senior Director of Public Relations at Caesars Entertainment, confirmed that the fire erupted early on Friday morning in the hotel's parking garage. - X/@iseecyrus. 'There were no reported injuries, and out of an abundance of caution, some guest rooms were briefly evacuated,' Peterson told 'All operations have now returned to normal, and we thank the Clark County Fire Department for their swift response.' A video of the incident, shared by X user @iSeeCyrus, showed smoke billowing from the front of The Cromwell, with fire trucks on the scene. The transformation of The Cromwell into The Vanderpump Hotel will continue through 2026, joining Lisa's collection of successful restaurants and bars in Las Vegas, including those featured on her reality show Vanderpump Rules.

The property will be housed in what is currently a boutique hotel, The Cromwell, following a complete renovation, scheduled to be finished in early 2026. 'I am thrilled to once again be partnering with Caesars Entertainment, this time to venture into the hotel business,' Vanderpump said in a news release on Wednesday. 'What an extraordinary opportunity to develop this iconic location into something unique, playful and upscale.' The reimagined hotel will feature new designs in its 188 guest rooms, an upgraded front desk and reception area and a brand new lounge, among other changes. 'The design will feature signature Vanderpump Alain furnishings and lighting fixtures and, as always with Vanderpump projects, everything will be bespoke and created specifically for the location,' the release said. The Cromwell will remain open during the renovations. The entrepreneur previously worked with Caesars Entertainment on multiple dining concepts, including Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace and Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas. Entrepreneur and reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump is getting into the Las Vegas hotel business. Caesars Entertainment on Wednesday announced a partnership with Vanderpump to overhaul The Cromwell, a boutique hotel at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, turning it into The Vanderpump Hotel. The renovated and rebranded property is expected to debut with its new look in early 2026. While it will be Vanderpump's first foray into hotels, the businesswoman and TV personality has a long history in the hospitality industry, including several projects with Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas. 'We've had a phenomenal partnership with Lisa, developing three very successful restaurants in Las Vegas,' said Sean McBurney, regional president of Caesars Entertainment, in a news release. 'Now we get to take Lisa's vision and expertise to the next level — infusing her talent and creativity into an entire hotel at the most incredible location on the Las Vegas Strip.' The Cromwell, which is across from Caesars Palace, currently houses celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis' restaurant GIADA, Bound lobby bar, Interlude casino lounge, Drai's Beachclub and Nightclub, Drai's After Hours and a Caesars Sportsbook. Caesars did not say whether those venues would be affected by the transformation, noting that additional details would be announced as the project progresses. The Cromwell will remain open during its transformation into The Vanderpump Hotel. The new property will have an enhanced hotel reception and front desk area, an all-new lounge, redesigned guest rooms and suites, and a 'fresh, new feel' for the casino floor, according to a news release announcing the project. 'Sexy elegance and comfort' will be at the heart of the redesign, the release said. Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, have been in the restaurant and nightclub business for decades. Vanderpump became more widely known through 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and its spinoff 'Vanderpump Rules.'
