Jordan Hosts Filming of The Voice and The Voice Kids
Ammon News - The Royal Film Commission – Jordan announces that MBC Group, the largest media network in the Middle East and North Africa, has commenced filming the latest seasons of The Voice: Ahla Sawt and The Voice Kids at Olivewood Studios. The four-month production will also include shoots at ten locations across the Kingdom, making it one of the most significant unscripted television productions to take place in Jordan.
Jordan's selection as the filming location follows years of investment in world-class film and television infrastructure, technical capabilities, and skilled local talent. The production will employ hundreds of Jordanian crew members — including cinematographers, sound engineers, lighting specialists, and costume designers — and will engage 16 local companies providing logistics and technical services.
The project is expected to deliver a substantial economic impact beyond the screen. Royal Jordanian Airlines will provide air travel for cast and crew, while hotels will host more than 11,000 room nights during the production. The filming schedule will also benefit multiple sectors, from equipment rental and transport to catering and set construction.
The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, emphasized the significance of hosting this major Arab production in Jordan, affirming that it underscores regional and international confidence in the Kingdom's capabilities in delivering high-quality artistic production services.
He highlighted that this step reflects the richness and diversity of Jordan's cultural environment, and is an integral part of the Kingdom's tourism industry.
Dr. Hijazeen noted that hosting this production showcases Jordan's attractive environment for tourism and investment in the film industry, inviting the international and Arab communities to capitalize on these opportunities.
'MBC's choice to film The Voice in Jordan highlights our growing strength as a production destination. Olivewood Studios and our expanding infrastructure are delivering real results, and this project reflects that momentum,' said Mohannad Al-Bakri, Director General of the Royal Film Commission.
'With continued support from the Royal Film Commission, hosting a global format like this opens new doors—advancing our goal to position Jordan as a hub for international film and television,' Al-Bakri added.
Chairman of Olivewood Studios, Raja Gargour, noted that the production aligns with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision by expanding opportunities in the creative industries and creating sustainable employment for young professionals.
Previous seasons of The Voice, filmed in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, have attracted more than 100 million viewers across the region. This year's Jordan-based edition will showcase the country's diverse landscapes, heritage, and production capacity to a vast regional audience — further establishing Jordan's place on the map as a serious hub for large-scale television and film productions.
