Sofronio Vasquez III says Michael Buble 'became family'
Sofronio Vasquez III and Michael Buble continue to have a close bond even after 'The Voice USA.' In his latest Instagram post, the Filipino singer posted a screenshot of a video call with Michael. In his caption, Sofronio has nothing but praise for the legendary singer-songwriter. 'Not only is he my coach from 'The Voice,' which historically made us win, but he also became family,' Sofronio said. 'He calls and sends some wisdom and great news for people like me who dream bigger than the world. Thank you, @michaelbuble,' he added. In May, the two also reunited for lunch. Sofronio made history as the first Asian and first Filipino to win "The Voice USA." He was part of Team Michael. In the finals, Sofronio delivered two stunning performances with his rendition of "Unstoppable" by Sia and "A Million Dreams" from "The Greatest Showman." Irish brother and sister act Donna and Joe McCaul, also known as The McCauls, represented Ireland in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Athlone siblings, were 21 and 16 years old at the time, and represented Ireland with their song, Love? They flew the flag for the Irish after winning RTÉ's You're a Star in March 2005. Rebranding as simply The McCauls following their Eurovision attempt, the siblings went on to appear on The Podge and Rodge Show as well as Irish reality TV show Fáilte Towers. In 2011, the brother and sister duo performed their Eurovision single at the wedding of Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick (who wrote the song) at the Mansion House, Dublin. Having gone separate ways in the music industry since, the pair are still immersed in music, with Donna throwing her name into the hat for another go at the Eurovision. Entering her song Mercy to represent Ireland in 2012, Donna lost out to fellow former Eurovision contestants, Jedward, who sang their song Mercy. Now, nearly 20 years after representing Ireland at the Eurovision, Donna is based in sunny Los Angeles, where she was originally in a band, Weekend Celebrity. She has since started up, Identity Theft. The now 39-year-old married her other half Shanna in 2020, previously telling EVOKE that they are ready to take the next step and start a family. In 2014, Joe revealed he had been diagnosed with MS. Speaking to the Irish Independent he said 'my world crumbled around me.'

'Had a very productive lunch with the man himself. We skipped dessert because we are on diet LOL,' Sofronio wrote on Instagram, alongside a humorous skit of Bublé pretending he forgot his wallet. Sofronio made history as the first Asian and first Filipino to win the U.S. edition of the hit singing competition, performing under Team Michael. His finale performances of 'Unstoppable' by Sia and 'A Million Dreams' from The Greatest Showman captivated viewers and judges alike. Catalina Ramirez, has joined ITV Studios as VP Sales US and Latin America. Formerly Co-Head of Propagate International, Catalina will report to SVP Sales US and Latin America, Rob Kaplan. In her new role, Catalina will lead on sales of ITV Studio's burgeoning 95,000 hour catalogue to the Latin American region and support all US sales initiatives. She will provide strategic input to maximise market potential while cultivating relationships with clients across TV, Cable, FAST, SVOD, AVOD, TVOD and Home Entertainment.
