James Argent ordered to pay tiny sum to ex after admitting domestic violence

New details have emerged of the compensation James Argent has been ordered to pay ex-girlfriend Nicoline Artursson after pleading guilty to domestic violence charges James Argent has been ordered to pay ex-girlfriend Nicoline Artursson just £250 as compensation after admitted a domestic violence charge. The 37-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star admitted his crime at a court in Spain earlier this month where he received a six-month suspended prison sentence and a two-year restraining order. A new report has claimed that Argent was ordered to pay Artursson £250 after he reportedly inflicted injuries to her neck, arms, hand and leg. Argent attacked 32-year-old Artursson at her apartment in Costa del Sol in the early hours of last Monday. ‌ Earlier reports have already revealed that Argent pushed his now ex-girlfriend down a flight of stairs, causing the injuries. Following the shocking incident, Argent made a return to the stage by the end of the week to perform - as he earns a living from singing. ‌ It has been reported that he has earned £5,000 in the past week, with news of the amount he was ordered to pay Artursson in compensation regarded as "a drop in the ocean". The Sun has claimed to have seen court papers that reveal Argent was ordered to pay compensation to his victim. A source told the outlet: "Compensation of just £250, for someone with his earning potential, is a drop in the ocean. The courts in Spain can't pull cash compensation figures out of the air. "They have to follow strict guidelines that revolve around medical bills victims can show they've had to pay or proven losses they've had because of time off work. But the amount James Argent has to pay here is small change for someone like him." The Mirror has contacted a representative of Argent for comment. Last week, The Mirror reported details from the court reports following Argent's sentencing. A prosecutor said in the written document: 'The injured woman suffered several bruises to her neck, a bruise to her right forearm, several abrasions to her right arm, and abrasions to her right hand and on her right leg.' ‌ Confirming she received medical assistance, the prosecutor said: 'The injuries she suffered healed in seven days on skin and soft tissue.' As part of the court's ruling, it is thought Argent may now also complete a ten-week domestic violence rehabilitation course in Spain, which includes listening to the stories of abuse survivors. This week, Argent made a return to social media where he was photographed alongside a friend at a black-tie charity event. In the caption, he wrote: "It was an honour to perform for The Wickers Charity raising over £100,000. So proud of @brogangarritsmith for all her hard work." Dressed in a black tuxedo and bow tie, Argent appeared upbeat as he posed for the camera at the elegant London venue. He also took to the stage with The Arg Band, entertaining attendees at the Wickers Charity Ball - an event dedicated to combating knife crime in the capital. A source close to Argent and his partner Nicoline told the Sun: "James should be ashamed of himself. He is acting like nothing happened and seems to be trying to brush over this. What he did was serious. "People who knew them as a couple were so shocked by what had happened but now to see James smiling and playing up to the cameras. It feels shameless."

The former TOWIE cast member, 37, has been branded 'shameful' by fans after he posted an image to his Instagram Stories, where he was photographed alongside a friend at a black-tie charity event. In the caption, he wrote: "It was an honour to perform for The Wickers Charity raising over £100,000. So proud of @brogangarritsmith for all her hard work." ‌ Dressed sharply in a black tuxedo and bow tie, Argent appeared upbeat as he posed for the camera at the elegant London venue. He also took to the stage with The Arg Band, entertaining attendees at the Wickers Charity Ball - an event dedicated to combatting knife crime in the capital. ‌ Upon his return to Instagram following his arrest, unimpressed fans hit out at the reality TV star. Elsewhere, a source close to James and his partner Nicoline told The Sun: "James should be ashamed of himself. He is acting like nothing happened and seems to be trying to brush over this. What he did was serious. "People who knew them as a couple were so shocked by what had happened but now to see James smiling and playing up to the cameras. It feels shameless," they added. The performance came just days after Argent, 37, received a six-month suspended prison sentence and a two-year restraining order from a Spanish court. He had pleaded guilty to shoving Artursson during a heated altercation while the couple were vacationing in La Cala de Mijas. According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation escalated to the point where Argent was allegedly seen hurling clothing from a balcony and storming out of the property with a bag in hand. A bystander told The Mirror that they had comforted Artursson, who was visibly shaken. ‌ 'She was crying a lot,' the source recounted. 'She looked extremely distressed and nervous. He later appeared before a specialized court for gender-based violence in Fuengirola, where his sentence was handed down. ‌ In addition to the suspended sentence, reports suggest that Argent may be required to attend a ten-week domestic violence intervention program, which includes hearing testimony from survivors. Breaking his silence on the matter, Argent issued a statement following the court's decision: 'I haven't relapsed. I am still three years and four months clean and sober. James Argent makes social media return after assaulting model girlfriend

TOWIE star James Argent made his return to social media after being arrested for attacking his girlfriend Nicoline Artursson. In a new post shared on his Instagram Stories, he posed with a friend at a charity ball as he captioned the post: "It was an honour to perform for The Wickers Charity raising over £100,000. So proud of @brogangarritsmith for all her hard work." The 37-year-old was handed a six-month suspended sentence and a two-year restraining order this week after admitting to pushing Swedish model Nicoline during an argument during their trip to La Cala de Mijas. As part of the court's ruling, it is thought he may now also complete a ten-week domestic violence rehabilitation course in Spain, which includes listening to the stories of abuse survivors. The reality star broke his silence on Thursday following the ruling. He said in a statement: "I haven't relapsed. I am still three years and four months clean and sober. I am devastated by what's happened." Artursson and Argent were on holiday when a diner at a close-by restaurant claimed to witness a commotion between the duo from across the street. They said the TV star threw clothes off a balcony and screamed before running out of the house with a bag. The Mirror also revealed earlier in the week that Nicoline had to be consoled by a witness at the time. They had came to her aid just moments after the bust-up, according to sources. She is said to have explained to the passerby: 'I'm in total shock…my life with Arg was so happy before this. I can't believe what's planned to have a family." She was reportedly crying a lot and seemed to be very nervous and agitated on the street, as claimed by the witness. They claimed the bust-up occurred around 11pm and both the police and the Swedish model's mother later arrived after Arg had left. Spanish police said Argent was later arrested for "an alleged crime of domestic violence". He later appeared before the Court of Violence against Women, in Fuengirola, where he was later handed the suspended prison sentence for a gender violence offence. * This is a breaking showbiz news story.
