Abbey Clancy fires jib at Peter Crouch after he makes 'sex ban' admission
Model Abbey Clancy and former England international footballer Peter Crouch regularly share insights into their relationship on their podcast Abbey Clancy aimed a jibe at husband Peter Crouch after he opened up about a "sex ban" before big football matches. The 44-year-old former footballer shared on their Therapy Crouch podcast that athletes often avoid intimacy before an important game. This revelation came when a listener mentioned his wife's desire for a romantic encounter before his golf match the next day. Peter confirmed the practice among athletes He said "It is in the sporting world, but not for golf though." Quick to respond, Abbey quipped: "You never stuck to that." Peter retorted with a laugh: "Absolutely not, you never look a gift horse in the mouth in my opinion. That's why I never got to the top of my profession." Peter went on to explain he wouldn't want to stay up too late before a football match. He added: "Obviously you don't want a marathon tantric session the night before a game but you know, I wouldn't have been drinking, and sometimes I think, as a man, it's hard to turn it down I would suggest." Model Abbey told listeners that former England and Liverpool striker Peter would be willing to stay up after midnight if he was in bed first and she woke him up. But if the roles were reserved she would tell the retired footballer to "get off" her. Peter Crouch shared a laugh with his wife Abbey Clancy about their past bedtime routines during his football days, saying: "When I was playing football, I would never have stayed up that late anyway, I'd have been in bed at 10 and you'd have been next to me. If there was any funny business, it would have been 8.30pm." Abbey quipped back that any such "funny business" would last from "8.30pm to 8.33pm" to which Peter retorted: "Eight-thirty-three and then 8.35pm gone." The couple, who often give fans a glimpse into their domestic life via their podcast, recently discussed a nocturnal dilemma they've been facing. Peter explained how Abbey has commandeered his orthopedic pillow, designed to aid his posture and sleep, for a better view of the telly, lamenting: "She's all over the orthopedic pillow. It helps with my posture and stuff and helps me have a good night's sleep." Abbey admitted to her tactical use of the pillow, saying: "I get into bed first and it's a bit firmer so I'm a bit more upright in this pillow so it's perfect. My face is in the perfect position for Married At First Sight." Peter humorously complained that he ends up feeling like he's "doing crunches" while trying to watch TV because Abbey had taken his pillow, and jokingly questioned their relationship: "I don't actually know why I'm with you." He continued, half-jokingly expressing his realisation: "It's dawned on me now. It's really actually dawned on me. You're belittling my wins, even if it's a small win, you should celebrate that as my wife. "Number two, you take the p*** out of my orthopedic pillow and number three, you steal it. It's unbelievable."

Abbey Clancy claims she was snubbed by ITV show after agreeing to join cast
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Abbey Clancy shared on the latest episode of the podcast she hosts with Peter Crouch that she was approached for a role on ITV's G'Wed Abbey Clancy says she was invited to appear in ITV sitcom G'Wed Podcast host Abbey Clancy has shared that she was once approached by ITV to appear in one of its shows. She however teased recently that she was snubbed by the broadcaster after agreeing to take part in the project. Abbey, 39, announced on the latest episode of the Therapy Crouch podcast that she had been approached to appear on G'Wed. The sitcom, which launched last year, follows a group of teenagers and is set in her home city of Liverpool. The BAFTA nominated comedy was brought up on the podcast, hosted by Abbey and her husband Peter Crouch, 44, amid a discussion about Scouse representation on TV. The BBC 's This City is Ours was referenced and then G'Wed. After the ITV2 sitcom was mentioned whilst recording the episode, Abbey shared: "They asked me to be in that." Then asked if she had declined the offer to appear on the show, she replied: "I said yeah but they never got back to me." Abbey and Peter, who launched the podcast in 2023, were both seen laughing moments later. Whilst a producer in the background appeared to tease over the news: "Fair enough." Abbey then teased: "Come 'ed, lad. Get in touch, will ya!" Her comments come after G'Wed returned for its second series just a few months ago. The acclaimed show, which centres on the lives of characters including Reece Duffy (played by Dylan Thomas-Smith) and Aimee Morris (Amber Harrison), launched with its first series in February last year. The second series was released by ITV in February this year. It was announced last year that the show had been renewed for two more series following the release of the first. Writer Danny Kenny said then: "It's amazing and exciting that we get to do this again and I can't wait for series 2 and 3 next year." And Nana Hughes, Head of Comedy ITV, praised Danny in a statement that was released at the time. Nana said amid the renewal news: "It is great to see that G'wed has resonated with our audiences across ITVX, ITV1 and ITV2! "[Danny's] writing had us crying with laughter one second, crying real tears the next and then back to laughter. And the hugely talented cast brought so much charm and cheek to the show, we can't wait to welcome everyone back to Liverpool for a second and third series when G'wed returns in 2025." G'Wed is among the nominees at this year's BAFTA Television Awards, which will be held at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London next Sunday. The event, broadcast by the BBC, is set to be hosted by Alan Cumming. The Scripted Comedy category includes G'Wed as one of the nominees. It's up against Alma's Not Normal, Brassic and Ludwig for the accolade at the awards ceremony. Whilst cast member Dylan is nominated for Male Performance in a Comedy. The actor is in the category alongside Extraordinary's Bilal Hasna, Mr Bigstuff's Danny Dyer, Kaos' Nabhaan Rizwan, Changing Ends' Oliver Savell and Smoggie Queens' Phil Dunning.

Abbey Clancy reveals she was ghosted by TV bosses after being asked to be in huge hit show
Abbey Clancy has revealed that she was ghosted by TV bosses after previously being asked to be in one of their hit shows. The model, 39, made the confession on her The Therapy Crouch podcast with husband Peter. On the recent show they read out a story from one of their listeners which was about colloquialisms. The pair then got on to talking about the Scouse phrase 'come 'ed', which means 'come ahead' or 'come on'. This reminded Abbey of the sitcom G'wed - a comedy about working class Liverpudlian teenagers She then said: 'They asked me to be in that. I said yes but they never got back to me.' - which left Peter in stitches. Abbey then continued as she poked fun at the career fail as she exaggerated her accent and said: 'Come 'ed, lad. Get in touch, yeah?!' The second series of G'wed aired in February and a third is in production. The unexpected confession comes after last week Abbey revealed Peter 's 'annoying' parenting habit as she opened up on her 'chaotic' family dynamic. The blonde beauty candidly admitted the former footballer, 44, can sometimes get on her nerves when it comes to parenting their four children - Sophia Ruby, 13, Liberty Rose, 9, and sons Johnny, 6, and Jack, five. She told OK! magazine: 'Pete's good cop and I'm bad cop. I'm the one going, 'Do your homework, eat your veg', and Pete's like, 'Let's play, kids!' which can be annoying but… it works. 'Our kids are very good, though. They've all got distinct personalities but they're all easy-going. That's not to say family life isn't chaotic – it's chaotic! 'There's absolutely nothing chilled about, but we wouldn't have it any other way.' Abbey also dubbed Peter 'useless' as she confirmed her fears over her sex life confessions. The couple, who hosts the Therapy Crouch podcast, explained to the Mirror how they keep their spark alive after 14 years of marriage. She told the publication that despite spending all their time together, she doesn't feel like she 'needs space' away from him. But Abbey did explain that when she is feeling unwell, she does need some space because Peter is a 'c**p nurse'. She said: 'I don't need 'space' from Peter – unless I'm ill, like I am at the minute, because he's a c**p nurse and I want him to go away! He's useless then.' During their podcast Abbey is very open and honest about her private life, which also tends to involve some very racy information about their sex life. And while she and Peter seem unbothered by disclosing their bedroom antics, she did confess that she worries she will say something she doesn't. 'But you know what? It's important for us to be authentic… to be real', she added. Abbey and Peter also shared they make sure their family stay connected with some unique rules in their house. They implemented an iPad and phone ban at Christmas, insisting it's led to a more positive attitude in their household. Speaking on their The Therapy Crouch podcast, Peter explained: 'We said to them iPads and phones are gone and I feel we've stuck to that. 'We made a conscious effort amongst ourselves to cut them out and they've properly cut them out.' They mentioned other rules they've put in place include focusing on homework, spending time as a family before having quality time together once the kids go to bed.
