Jared has recently denied historical claims of sexual misconduct. The star, 53, was accused by nine women, including some who were teenagers at the time. His $20 million abandoned military compound that he's turned into his private home was also recently revealed. In an Air Mail expose published on Saturday, nine accusers shared their stories of Leto's alleged misconduct with younger women, some who claim they were underage. 'It's been an open secret for a long time,' one anonymous woman told the outlet. Model Laura La Rue said she met Leto in 2008, when she was 16 and he was 36. Despite her being underage, which La Rue claims Leto knew, he asked her for number and things quickly took a sexual turn, she said. She described one incident while she visiting him when she was 17, alleging Leto 'just walked out, d– out, like it was normal.' A representative for Leto denied that allegation, saying their interactions involved 'nothing sexual or inappropriate.' They further claimed that La Rue 'later applied to work as Mr Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate.' Another accuser similarly recalled meeting Leto while underage. She described a time, after she'd turned 18, when they were at Leo's house and he 'suddenly pulled his penis out and started masturbating … grabbed my hand, and put it on him.' The expose, titled The Cult Of Leto , is filled with similar accusations against the 53-year-old. The women accuse him of preying on cute, young girls, several of whom they say were recruited to attend his parties in the mid-2000s. A representative for the Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman 'expressly denied' all the allegations in the story. The expose comes less than two months after a viral Instagram story from Teilz, who reupped a 2012 claim that she was 'assaulted and traumatised' by Leto when she was 17. 'He knew my age and didn't care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable,' she said. She then received dozens of replies from women who shared their own experiences with the actor — some claiming he was inappropriate with them when they were as young as 14. Teilz reposted those replies, all of which can be read in her Story Highlight. PHOTO: AFP American actor and musician Jared Leto, who starred in films such as The Suicide Squad (2016) and House Of Gucci (2021), has been accused of sexual assault by nine women as young as 16 at the time of the alleged incidents. These accusations stretch over two decades, in which Leto, 53, is said to have continued to engage with the women. The accusations resurfaced when Los Angeles-based DJ Allie Teilz, 30, reposted one of her Facebook posts from 2012, in which she alleged that Leto had assaulted her when she was 17. She wrote: 'You're not really in Los Angeles until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… I was assaulted and traumatised by this creep when I was 17.' She described his actions as 'predatory, terrifying and unacceptable', as Leto 'knew her age', but claimed he 'did not care'. A second anonymous victim alleged that Leto approached her at a cafe in Los Angeles in 2006 when she was 16, according to a report by US-based newsletter Air Mail. Leto was said to have struck up a 'quick conversation' with the girl and got her number. According to the woman, their late-night conversations 'turned sexual'. Former model Laura La Rue, 33, also claimed that Leto had 'flirted' with her and 'teased' her when he invited her to his Los Angeles home after they had met at an animal rights benefit when she was 16. During a separate visit, Leto walked out of a room completely naked in front of her, claimed La Rue, who was 17 at that time. 'He just walked out... like it was normal… I thought maybe this was just what adult men do,' La Rue told Air Mail. Leto's representative denied La Rue's claims, stating: 'Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate and Ms La Rue later applied to work as Mr Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.' Though Leto's representative has 'expressly denied' the allegations, the actor has yet to respond to them. Leto, who made his acting debut in the television series Camp Wilder in 1992, won a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for playing a transgender woman in the biographical drama Dallas Buyers Club (2013). In 2024, he performed at the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix as the lead singer of rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars, which he co-founded with his brother Shannon Leto in 1998. Another said she was 16 when Leto approached her and got her number in 2006. She says the actor began calling her in the middle of the night and making sexual remarks. In response, a representative for the star said that Leto has been sober for more than 35 years after the accuser speculated that he was on drugs during the calls. Leto 'has not had a drink or used drugs in over 35 years,' said the spokesperson. Laura La Rue, a model who was also 16 when she said she met Leto, claimed she had a similar interaction after Leto invited her to visit him in his music studio. 'Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate,' Leto's representative told Air Mail, 'and Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.' La Rue reportedly denied ever applying to work as Leto's personal assistant. A fourth woman, who said she began a texting relationship with Leto when she was still underage, said his advances ramped up when she turned 18. She claims that during a subsequent visit to Leto's house, he began masturbating in front of her. 'All of the allegations are expressly denied,' Leto's representative said in response. Leto rose to fame in the 1990s as Jordan Catalano on the cult TV series My So-Called Life before earning critical acclaim for transformative roles in Requiem for a Dream (2000), Dallas Buyers Club (2013), and Suicide Squad (2016).
