The 4 things MAFSAU left out from Paul's shocking wall punch, as Carina reveals his "swinger past"

Married At First Sight Australia bride Carina Mirabile has revealed the full story behind the shocking moment that led to her then-hubby Paul Antoine punching a wall. About halfway through the experiment, things went left for the former power couple, as Paul revealed at a dinner party that he'd lost his temper and punched a wall after Carina admitted to sleeping with a rapper. The moment came as a shock to the other MAFSAU cast members and viewers alike, as the duo seemed super loved up and on the way to building a successful marriage. It turns out... a lot was actually left out of that moment. Here's everything that happened leading up to the moment that Paul punched the wall on MAFSAU. Carina and Paul told the other cast members that Paul had punched the wall because Carina revealed that she'd slept with a well-known rapper. However, the rapper's name wasn't disclosed on the show. Speaking about the incident on her new podcast with celebrity hairstylist Jacob Mueller, This Is Chaos, Carina claimed that the rapper she was intimate with is US star Quavo - who is best known as the frontman of the now-defunct hip-hop group, Migos. While we know that the incident took place after a double date with Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels, during which Carina revealed that she'd been intimate with a rapper, we didn't hear the exact details on MAFS. Carina has now opened up about the incident, saying: "We were taking turns putting on a song [in an Uber]. I put on a song and it was one with Quavo in it. I said, 'I slept with him' as it was funny and stupid, we all laughed about it. Paul laughed as well." She continued: "Then when we get back to the apartment and Paul was so furious. He was frustrated, I could see he was upset. He was pacing, he had to go the balcony, I was thinking, 'Okay this isn't normal, something is up.'" Carina thought that her comment would be unimportant given a previous confession from Paul. According to Carina, Paul revealed that he was into swinging in his previous relationship. Despite her initial reservations, Carina says she put it behind her, so she expected the same grace when it came to her revelation. She said: "When Paul and I were doing Confessions Week at the start of the experiment, he openly said that he was into swinging with his ex-partner. "I was like, 'Are you for real? Does your family know about this?' Then he told me all about his past dating life and I just let it go." She continued: "He was just so upset and dramatic about the whole Quavo situation. I kept apologising, he kept saying he was embarrassed that I openly said that. I kept saying sorry, sorry, sorry. I didn't feel unsafe, it was just us having a fight. "I said, 'But you openly said, on camera, for a national television show, that you had slept with swingers and did swinging with your ex so I didn't think [me sharing that story] that was a bad thing.'" Before Paul punched the wall, Carina says a producer who had overheard their argument, tried to diffuse the situation, asking Paul to go for a walk to cool down. However, this didn't help and when Paul returned from his walk he was still angry. "He was angry, pacing and breathing heavily. I just said, 'Let's go to bed, let's go to bed.' So we're laying in bed, I could hear him panting and I asked, 'what's going on? Are you okay?' He got up and said 'No, I'm not okay.' "He got up and bang, bang. I was like, 'Holy s**t this has now gotten so much serious.' I was freaking out, thinking how did it get from that comment to this situation?' If you've recently seen an influx of Instagram posts from this year's cast of Married At First Sight, no, you're not going insane. The 2025 brides and grooms finally regained access to their social media accounts on Monday after months of Channel 9 posting on their behalf. The network typically manages the participants' online presence while the show airs in both Australia and the UK, meaning that all of their posts and captions have had to be approved before going live. Now that the season has finally concluded for UK viewers, the cast members are back in control. RELATED: The one rule the MAFS cast must follow after regaining their Instagram accounts Surprising reality of MAFS honeymoons viewers don't get to see on TV MAFS' Jamie and Dave's split turns messy after brutal social media move From Q&As and cheeky photos to cryptic posts teasing a tell-all, the brides and grooms certainly haven't held back in their first few hours of posting to their newfound followers. In case you don't want to follow them yourself or simply don't have the time to search all of their handles, here's everything the 2025 cast has shared online since logging back into their accounts. Carina Mirabile was one of the first people to regain Instagram access on Monday afternoon and immediately went live with her mother, Carmel, on their way to Fashion Week. She also shared a series of Instagram Stories documenting her trip to Sydney for the event and posted photos of herself modelling in a studio. Bio: Her bio's been updated to include her management information, her clothing brand, and her upcoming podcast, 'This Is Chaos', with Jacob Muller. She also did a Q&A from the airport about her relationship with Jeff Gobbels and her appearance, confirming that she gets botox in her forehead and doesn't have veneers. Bio: Rhi has updated her bio to include her training profile and a personal management email, suggesting she hasn't signed with a talent agency. Follower count: 264,000 Jamie Marinos is yet to upload any new photos on her account, but has taken part in a Q&A talking about her favourite beauty products, why she won't get a nose job anytime soon, and how she used Shein to buy the majority of her clothes on MAFS. She refused to answer any questions about her 'ex-husband' Dave Thomas Hand as she didn't want to get involved in any drama, and said they have 'moved past it now'. In regards to her rumoured relationship with Eliot Donovan, she said: 'I've got nothing to tell you, you're gonna have to wait and see.' Bio: Jamie hasn't updated her bio since regaining access to her account. Follower count: 295,000 Similar to his co-stars, Eliot Donovan did a Q&A upon logging back into Instagram and answered questions about his dog, tattoos, the spelling of his name, and his portrayal on MAFS. When asked about his rumoured relationship with Jamie, however, Eliot cheekily cut off his video just when he was about to answer. Interestingly, he and Jamie appear to be staying at the same Airbnb in Sydney for Fashion Week based on their Instagram Stories. Bio: In addition to including his management details, Eliot has poked fun at his on-screen portrayal and written: 'Patronising King'. Follower count: 112,000 Awhina Rutene's first post was a video of herself singing Eminem's 'Without Me' alongside the caption: 'POV - guess who just got there [sic] socials back after 6 months!'. Follower count: 57,700 Katie Johnston has posted a vlog of herself using a sauna and an ice bath alongside a lengthy caption about her 'brand new chapter'. 'For the first time in my life, I'm truly focused on my physical health - not from a place of pressure or perfection, but from self-respect. Growing up, I didn't have the tools, the culture, or the support to make health a priority… but I do now. And I'm learning, growing, and transforming in real time,' she wrote. 'Can't wait to share more of this journey with you—inside and out.' Bio: Katie's bio mentions that she's on a 'self-love journey, navigating the wild human world'. She's also included links to her new website, YouTube channel, and shop to buy original artwork and herbal tea. Follower count: 101,000 Sierah Swepstone has taken to her Instagram Stories to call out her experience on MAFS, sharing side-by-side photos of herself at the beginning of the experiment and the commitment ceremony she left. 'For me to look the way I did after just five weeks, something had to have happened. Women don't break themselves down like that,' she wrote. 'I was silenced in the media because the truth was a liability. The people who caused me harm have controlled the narrative for long enough. I will speak soon." The official MAFS account appears to have unfollowed Sierah on Instagram since she's regained access, although this might mean that she has blocked them.
