Devils Sign Fascinating Prospect To New Deal
The New Jersey Devils have announced that they have signed restricted free agent forward Thomas Bordeleau to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season. Bordeleau was acquired by the Devils earlier this off-season from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Shane Bowers. This was after Bordeleau recorded 14 goals, 24 assists, and 38 points in 59 games with the Sharks' AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, in 2024-25. He also appeared in one game for the Sharks this past season, where he was held off the scoresheet. Bordeleau showed some promise during the 2023-24 season with the Sharks. In 27 games with the Pacific Division club, he scored six goals and recorded 11 points. As a result, the 2020 second-round pick is an interesting young player that the Devils have brought in. It will be intriguing to see if Bordeleau can take a step forward in his development next season with the Devils from here. In 44 career NHL games, Bordeleau has recorded six goals, 12 assists, and 18 points.
