Men's Wear That Melds Colors, Patterns and Proportions

Pitti Uomo, the twice-yearly men's wear event in Florence, Italy, is full of suits. But few at Pitti's latest installment in June contained as many multitudes as the suit Quentin Thrash was wearing on the sweltering Thursday we met, when local temperatures neared triple digits. Combining a double breasted jacket with flared pants, bright colors with dark shades and stripes with gingham, his suit looked both fresh and nostalgic. It was the type of ensemble that seemed as likely to have been bought off the rack as to have been assembled with items from a vintage store. Turns out, he had made the suit himself. Mr. Thrash, 36, designs a line of (mostly custom) clothes and accessories called Thrash Bespoke, and had come from Los Angeles to Pitti partly to promote it. 'L.A.'s a very casual place,' he said. 'People wear a lot of sweatpants and flip-flops and Crocs and things like that. And I like to set the bar high.' Mr. Thrash, who grew up in Georgia, said that as a designer, he leaned into mixing and matching patterns and colors. 'Just kind of doing unorthodox things in men's wear,' as he put it. 'If you look at my outfit, it's very traditional, it's very traditional tailoring,' he said. 'But the bell bottom, the flared pants,' he added, 'have a Western pocket on the back of them. It's like, there are a lot of details that I incorporate into my designs that you don't really see on a lot of custom suits.' Tap to see more looks

Wichita Falls police arrest Dallas man accused of multiple thefts

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A Dallas man faces a felony charge for allegedly stealing from or attempting to steal from several shops in Wichita Falls. On Monday, June 9, at 3:56 p.m., Wichita Falls police were sent to the 3100 block of Midwestern Parkway at Metro by T-Mobile for a man who had reportedly entered the store and attempted to steal a phone. When the officers arrived, they spoke with the manager, who said a bearded black man in a black shirt was in the store, hanging around the iPhones. The manager said when he walked away from the suspect, the man tried to steal the display phone, but he was unsuccessful and left the store to the west. Police said that while they were checking the area, they were informed about the same man allegedly stealing a display phone from the Verizon store in the 3200 block of Midwestern Parkway, Suite 100. Officers said they spoke with the manager, who provided the same description of the suspect as the previous manager. This time, the suspect is alleged to have entered the store, pulled a Samsung Galaxy A16 display cell phone from the mount, and left the store. The phone was valued at $199.99. Officers said they were then waved down by someone who reported the same man described in the two previous incidents allegedly attempted to steal money from the register at Jimmy John's, located in the 3200 block of Midwestern Parkway, Suite 300. Police said they spoke with the employees, who reported the man attempted to take money from a customer who was placing a catering order. Still, the customer stated the suspect did not receive any money. Officers said they found a man matching the description, who was carrying a black and white Nike backpack, walking westbound in the 4000 block of Call Field Road. Police said they attempted to coax the man to come to them, but he continued walking away from them. When the man was threatened with a taser, police said the man stopped walking, was placed in handcuffs and identified as Glenn Earl Thrash II by his driver's license. Authorities said the backpack he was carrying had a TJ Maxx price tag and security tag still attached, and he was also carrying a new Father's Day gift bag full of merchandise. Officers went to TJ Maxx to confirm the items were stolen, and police said store associates told them they saw Thrash pick up the Nike backpack and fill it with merchandise. They alleged he also took a Father's Day gift bag and filled it with merchandise. The TJ Maxx manager said the total value of the items taken was $193.89. When officers attempted to place Thrash in a police unit, they stated that he refused and had to be pulled in by an officer from the other side of the unit. Thrash was charged with theft of property over $2,500 with two or more convictions, resisting, and evading. A records check of Thrash shows he has two previous robbery convictions from 2024, both in Dallas County. At the time of publication, Thrash is still in jail with bonds totaling $54,000. Lufkin man pleads guilty to wire fraud after stealing more than $9 million

LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) – A Lufkin man has pleaded guilty to various wire fraud schemes after he stole more than $9 million through fraudulent means. Matthew Jess Thrash who had been running a multitude of fraudulent schemes and has been under investigation since 2020, pleaded guilty to wire fraud on Monday, according to a press release from Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas Abe McGlothin, Jr.'s Office. 1 arrested after investigators bust major fentanyl, meth operation in Polk County An investigation revealed that Thrash had stolen approximately $9,170,124 from over 100 victims through fraudulent methods. McGlothlin's press release indicates that Thrash 'intended to devise schemes and artifices to defraud others, and to obtain money and property by means of materially false and fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises.' In September 2010, Thrash established Thrash Sports Management (TSM) as an LLC through the Texas Secretary of State where he was listed as the manager, principal and registered agent for TSM. Thrash showed a registered address in Lufkin. In July 2013, Thrash established Thrash and Henderson Sports Management LLC and incorporated the business under someone else's name without their approval. Some of Thrash's schemes included running a sports memorabilia store in Las Vegas, where he allegedly solicited and received money from individuals who believed they were investing in the store until it was revealed that he never owned a sports memorabilia store. Although some of the businesses Thrash claimed to be part of do exist in Las Vegas, the indictment said that Thrash never owned or had any business relationship with the owners and managers of those businesses. Thrash also reportedly provided multiple individuals with stock purchase agreements for shares in a cannabis dispensary that showed Thrash was acting on behalf of TK Investments with a business address in Lufkin. McGlothlin's press release also reported that Thrash fraudulently received money from COVID Paycheck Protection Program loans. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled following a presentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office. The case is being investigated by the FBI's Lufkin Field Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Lufkin Police Department. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
