Keith, a social care worker, proposed on Ballycotton Cliff Walk, Cork, on January 21, 2023. 'I didn't want to go on the walk that day — I had new runners on, I didn't want to dirty them, and the weather wasn't great. Keith was behind me, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee,' says Kristine. Kristine Reidy. Children of 2 Comedy Legends Tie The Knot

Children of 2 Comedy Legends Tie The Knot originally appeared on Parade. The next chapter in the Murphy-Lawrence family saga has begun, with Eddie Murphy's sonEric and Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin tying the knot in a surprise, intimate ceremony. Nearly two weeks ago, the couple, who had kept their plans under wraps, quietly exchanged vows in a low-key celebration, with Eddie sharing the news during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, May 29. 'They went off—everybody was making their big wedding plans — and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them." He added, jokingly, that Martin wouldn't be footing the bill for a big wedding. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 This hush-hush ceremony came after Eric and Jasmin's engagement in November 2024. Eric, 35, popped the question to Jasmin, 29, in a room bathed in candlelight and filled with white roses and a giant red heart. Jasmin later shared the joyful moment on Instagram, expressing, 'God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn't be more excited for this next chapter.' Eric and Jasmin's relationship began in 2021, when they shared their first public post as a couple on Instagram. Their families' connection goes beyond romance, as Eddie and Martin have had a long-standing friendship, starring together in the 1992 film Boomerang and the 1999 comedy Life. When asked about their kids' relationship, Lawrence called it "beautiful" and joked about the unexpected pairing to E! News in September 2024. 'It's beautiful. They both are beautiful, young adults and they get along so well,' he stated to the outlet. Eddie, on the other hand, playfully commented on the potential for 'a funny baby' in the future to CBS Mornings in July 2024. 'Just our gene pool is going to make this funny baby. If they ever get married and have a child, I'm expecting the child to be funny.'
