Free Global Village tickets for tourists arriving at DXB

Tourists arriving in Dubai have been surprised with free tickets to one of the emirate's most popular outdoor attractions. People arriving at Dubai International Airport and the Hatta border crossing were given complimentary tickets to Global Village ahead of the final days of season 29 at the multicultural destination. The special initiative came as the result of a collaboration between the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) and Global Village. It is part of the ongoing Year of Community in the UAE, which aims to strengthen family and community bonds by preserving cultural heritage, intergenerational ties, and create inclusive spaces that foster collaboration. The GDRFA says that the free tickets will enhance the visitor experience in Dubai as well as highlight the city's rich cultural diversity and reinforce its status as a distinguished global destination. With Global Village set to close on Sunday May 11, time is running out to visit the popular park before the summer. For those unfamiliar with Global Village, it is home to 30 pavilions representing products belonging to 90 different cultures as well as daily cultural performances and loads of high-octane funfair rides. To help as many people as possible visit Global Village, the destination has also announced free entry for all under 12s until the end of season 29. Tickets usually cost Dhs25, so it's a good opportunity to have a great family day out on a budget. Throughout the season, tickets are free for kids under the age of three, senior citizens and people of determination. Dhs25, free (kids under 12). Open daily 4pm-midnight until Sun May 11, (04 362 4114). Looking for more things to do in Dubai?
