Waltair Division celebrates ‘Har Ghar Tiranga' week
As part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (HGT) campaign 2025, the Waltair Division is hosting a number of events including: Rangoli competitions, essay writing contests, quiz programs, enthusiastic Tiranga-themed bike and cycle rallies, a Tiranga concert, Tiranga art painting sessions, and creative selfie booths. On Thursday, the Personnel Branch of the Waltair Division conducted a rangoli competition at the Rail Club, for women railway employees. President of ECoR Women's Welfare Organisation (E Co RWWO) Jyotsna Bohra along with other executive members, judged the event and announced the winners. As part of the week-long celebrations a film festival is also being organised. On August 8, a patriotic film will be screened at the Railway Club. The event is expected to draw a large audience, including children, ECoRWWO members, staff and officers. Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra appealed to the public to take active part in fostering national pride and community spirit by participating in the events and ensuring the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is a memorable one.

Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from Aug 5 to 15: Collector
Anantapur: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign will be celebrated in a grand manner across Anantapur district from August 5 to 15, announced In-Charge District Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma. The District Tourism Officer will act as the nodal officer to coordinate activities with all departments, following the government's schedule at village, mandal, and district levels. On August 5, all staff will take and upload selfies with the national flag. August 6 will feature patriotic songs, dramas, Tiranga-themed school decorations, quizzes, and workshops. August 7 will see Tiranga rallies, melas by self-help groups, sale of tricolour items, and selfie booths. August 8 includes a marathon and Tiranga concert in Anantapur, door-to-door awareness drives, and volunteer certificate downloads. August 11 will felicitate top 10 volunteers and decorate public spaces with tricolour lighting. On August 12, NREGS workers and local leaders will hoist flags at 2023 plaques, alongside Swachh Bharat and Jal Jeevan activities. August 13 will honour freedom fighters, conduct Tiranga rallies, human chains, and patriotic song performances. August 14 will have Tiranga yatras led by mandal, village, and ward secretaries. The campaign concludes on August 15 with flag hoisting in all government offices and public participation to mark Independence Day. The Collector urged citizens to actively join the celebrations and make the Har Ghar Tiranga programme a success.

This Independence Day, J&K Govt to distribute 15 lakh flags, set up portal for real-time monitoring of events
This coming Independence Day, the J&K government will distribute 15 lakh national flags across the Union Territory (UT) and dedicate a digital portal to facilitate real-time monitoring and event reporting. J&K Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, who reviewed the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025' preparations with officers and police officials, 'emphasized the need to make this campaign a mass movement'. Impressing upon the government departments 'to ensure widespread participation across urban and rural regions', Mr. Dulloo directed involvement of school children, youth, and citizens from all walks of life 'to strengthen the message of national pride, unity, and patriotic consciousness'. The J&K government plans to hold special programmes from August 2 to 15 as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Following the remarkable success of the campaign over the last three years, this year's edition aims to deepen its impact through community-led, culturally enriched activities that will be held across panchayats, urban wards, educational institutions, and key public spaces throughout J&K, a government spokesman said. J&K Principal Secretary, Culture, Brij Mohan Sharma declared a three-phase participation between August 2 and 15. for 'broad-based public participation across the UT'. Ther activities would involve Tiranga-themed wall paintings, murals, and rangoli art at educational institutes. Grand cultural festivals (Tiranga Mahotsavs) and melas will be organised, highlighting local arts, crafts, and products, especially those by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Tricolour themes, the spokesman said. To enhance public involvement, markets and public areas will be decorated, and the distribution of National Flags will be facilitated primarily through Self Help Groups. The major flag hoisting events are scheduled in Srinagar and Jammu. 'Citizens will also be encouraged to participate in the popular 'Selfie with Tiranga' campaign, uploading their photos with the National Flag on the designated online portal,' the spokesman said.
