ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Toad the Wet Sprocket will headline a 'Good Intentions' tour of alternative rock bands this September at the Coronado Performing Arts Center. The tour will bring together 'iconic anthems and feed-good throwbacks' with Toad the Wet Sprocket, Vertical Horizon, and KT Tunstall, on Friday, September 26th. Toad the Wet Sprocket is best known for singles such as 'Walk on the Ocean,' 'All I Want,' and 'Something's Always Wrong.' Vertical Horizon's 'Everything You Want' hit the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999, and charted with 'You're a God' and 'Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning).' Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall had 2000s hits with 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,' 'Suddenly I See,' and 'Other Side of the World.' Over 50 musical acts are set to perform at the annual Red Butte Concert Series in Salt Lake City, organizers announced Tuesday. The intrigue: Big names include Alison Krauss, Rick Springfield, ZZ Top and Train. State of play: The series runs from May 19 to Sept. 16, featuring genres like rock, bluegrass folk, and alternative. Rock band Cheap Trick is slated to kick things off, with pop act Hermanos Gutiérrez closing it. Admission: The first set of tickets — for concerts between May 19-July 27 — go on sale for members on April 21 and to the public on April 25. The second set of tickets — for shows after July 27 — go on sale for members on April 28 and to the public on May 2.
