Nothing Phone 3 could ditch the iconic glyph interface
London-based smartphone maker Nothing on Thursday (May 29, 2025) hinted that its next flagship smartphone Phone 3 may not have the glyph interface. Nothing introduced the glyph lighting system at the back of the phone with the Phone 1 launched in 2022 and that's what differentiated it from the competition apart from having a transparent design. On Thursday, Nothing shared on X (formerly Twitter), 'We killed the Glyph Interface.' The glyph was used to notify charging status, Uber's arrival or food aggregator's location, notifications, calls and much more. If they actually mean it then Nothing Phone 3, which is scheduled for launch in July 2025, might not have the glyph features and could be compensated with something else, possibly a dot matrix design. Phone 3 is likely to run Snapdragon 8 Elite processor accompanied by up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. A 5,000 mAh battery is also expected in Phone 3. A 50 MP triple rear camera set up can be a possibility in Phone 3 along with a 32 MP selfie camera. The rear is more likely to have a dedicated telephoto lens. Phone 3 could also use a 6.78 inch of flexible LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Google opens its online store to sell Pixel devices throughout India
To bolster its presence in India, Google on Thursday (May 29, 2025) announced the availability of its Pixel devices through its official Google Store online. Buyers can purchase Pixel phones, watches, buds, and accessories. With this online store, Google aims to replicate Apple's online store model in the world's most populous country. The Google Online store will also provide financing options such as no-cost EMIs, instant cashback, exchange bonuses, and store credits. Apart from selling on its online store, Google sells Pixel devices through 25+ large format retail and mobile wireless partners including Flipkart, Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics and Poorvika, Sangeetha. 'We've deepened our commitment to growing hands-on buying experiences, with fixtures in over 200 stores and overall distribution now spanning more than 2000 stores across the country,' said Mitul Shah, MD, Devices and Services, Google India. They can now self-serve by initiating repair requests and scheduling pick-up directly from the website. People can also opt for free doorstep pick-up and drop through mail-in service. Google said that it has also expanded their same day repair capabilities with 20 service centres in India, including our three existing Google Exclusive Service Centres. 'Today, 7 out of 10 phones are repaired on the same day,' writes Mr. Shah.

The crease is significantly reduced, contributing to a more seamless screen experience. It also comes with IP48 dust and underwater protection, which brings added confidence in daily usage scenarios—an important reassurance for a foldable. Port placement is thoughtful and efficient. The right side houses the power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor and volume rockers above it. On the left, there's a new AI assist button that's neatly integrated into the frame. At the bottom, you'll find the speaker grille, a Type-C port, and the SIM tray. Every element feels refined, and collectively, it reinforces Motorola's focus on delivering a high-end flip experience. Motorola is offering three OS upgrades and four years of security updates, which I felt could have been more, considering the competition. With AI woven throughout—from camera enhancements to real-time translations and content suggestions—the software experience is smart yet unobtrusive. Performance Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform built on 3nm process technology, the Razr 60 Ultra truly earns its 'most powerful flip phone' tag. The octa-core processor with a max clock speed of 4.32GHz ensures lightning-fast performance. Backed by 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, the phone effortlessly handles anything thrown at it. From day-to-day tasks like multitasking and switching between apps to heavier processes such as video rendering or high-resolution photo editing, the Razr 60 Ultra performs with grace. Geekbench scores reaffirm its prowess—2750 on single-core and 8255 on multi-core performance, while the GPU scores 14,733 and AnTuTu hits an impressive 1,393, navigation experience on both displays is smooth like flowing water, with no lag or stutter in sight. Gaming has received a special upgrade in this generation. Whether it was heavy-duty titles or graphics-intensive shooters, the Razr 60 Ultra ran them all in top-tier settings without any noticeable frame drops or heating. It easily lasts over a full day and a half on moderate to heavy use, and that's with both displays in active use. For a flip phone, that's robust battery life. Charging also gets a boost. The Razr 60 Ultra supports 68 W TurboPower fast charging, up from the 45 W seen in its predecessor. It delivers power for a full day in just 8 minutes and reaches full charge in around 40 minutes. On top of that, you also get 30 W wireless charging and 5 W reverse charging, rounding out an extremely capable power setup. Realme partners with Aston Martin Formula One Team to launch GT 7 Dream Edition
Realme on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) announced a three-year partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team and will launch a co-branded phone, Realme GT 7 Dream Edition. They also plan to jointly develop two models annually. Realme GT 7 series will be launched on May 27 and will feature Realme GT 7 and Realme GT 7T, along with the Dream Edition. 'Collaborating with a legendary racing team like Aston Martin Aramco is a crucial step for us to push the boundaries of innovation. Uber users can now buy Delhi Metro QR tickets within the app
Uber on Monday (May 19, 2025) partnered with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to launch QR based tickets for Delhi Metro users. Now, Uber users can book their QR based Delhi Metro train ticket within the app by using the UPI payment options. Uber plans to scale this service to three more Metro services in India by 2025. An Uber app user can buy a maximum of 8 QR tickets in one go. They have to enter the entry and exit stations and then make the payment using the UPI. The QR ticket has to scanned at the automatic fare collection gate for entry and exit. The service is already live in Delhi. Uber said that India's Digitial Public Infrastructure (DPI) has helped it scale and also to make for the world. It will allow businesses to request on-demand logistics from Uber's delivery network.
