Terraform Chapter 11 Administrator Says Law Firm Is Obstructing Investigation
The administrator winding down what remains of Terraform Labs says Dentons, Terraform's former law firm, is obstructing efforts to investigate its role in the crypto company's collapse until a bankruptcy court signs off on $25 million in legal fees. Dentons wants to 'run out the clock' until a final fee application related to its legal work for Terraform comes up for court approval in September, said Todd Snyder, the administrator. Snyder, whose responsibilities include investigating alleged wrongdoing and evaluating potential lawsuits to recover funds for creditors, has asked the law firm to turn over records on its former longtime client.

Skimpy Men's Swimsuits Are Making a Splash
This season, after years of fielding requests for a particular swimsuit online and at his retail stores, the men's wear designer Todd Snyder gave those who had been asking what they wanted: a swim brief. Mr. Snyder, who is known for making modern versions of classic items in the American man's wardrobe, said that even though he had a sense of customers' appetite for swim briefs, he was surprised by his version's reception. 'It's been doing killer,' he said of the brief, a new addition to his namesake brand's swimwear offerings — competing 'neck and neck' with the trunks his brand sells. The Todd Snyder Mykonos brief, which is sold in three solid colors and has an inside pocket for small items like keys, is among the latest iterations of a swimsuit being revisited by some luxury brands (most are European) and by men bold enough to wear it. They do not include Mr. Snyder. 'I think I'm past that,' the 57-year-old designer said, laughing. 'Those days are gone.' Bode expanded its line of nostalgic and embroidered clothing to include solid-color swim briefs last year, and other rarefied styles currently for sale include asymmetrically cut briefs by Rick Owens, a rococo pair by Versace, a leopard pair by Dolce & Gabbana, a checked pair by Burberry and logo-stamped styles by Louis Vuitton and Gucci. But no luxury brand has leaned in quite like Miu Miu, the women's wear label beloved by many men, which was ahead of the pack when it showed swim briefs styled with T-shirts, polos and low-slung shorts in its spring 2024 collection. Now the brand offers a pair in seven colors and 14 sizes. Its three-figure price, like those of some other styles, is just as likely to cause a double take as the briefs themselves are. Authentic Is Relaunching Sperry Across UK and Ireland
Sperry, which is marking its 90th anniversary, is heading back to the U.K. and Ireland. Brand owner Authentic Brands Group inked a partnership with Gardiner Bros to distribute the boat shoe heritage brand across the U.K. and Ireland for men's and women's footwear. (Aldo Group is the brand's North American operating partner.) Authentic acquired the Sperry brand in January 2024 from Wolverine World Wide. The brand management firm said the U.K. and Ireland markets have long recognized Sperry's rich heritage and timeless appeal. 'Boat shoes are having a real resurgence, and we look forward to reintroducing timeless silhouettes alongside fresh new styles to customers in the UK and Ireland,' said Gardiner's chief product officer Ben Gardiner. Authentic has been busy building out the footwear presence of the brands in its portfolio across the U.K. and Ireland. Last month, it chose Chapter Brand Group to distribute its Rockport brand in men's and women's footwear. The brand management firm acquired Rockport in July 2023 while it was in bankruptcy proceedings. A year earlier, Authentic bought Rockport's former parent Reebok. This past February, Authentic said Galaxy Universal took over Reebok's footwear operations, retail stores and e-commerce, as well as leading the brand's global product creation, design and sourcing. Galaxy inked a joint venture with Batra Group, dubbed GB Brands Europe Limited, which has oversight for the brand's operations across Europe and the U.K. GB Brands took over for New Guards Group, the Farfetch division that previously distributed Reebok footwear and apparel in Europe.
