West Kerry appoint Gabriel Ó Cathasaigh as football manager for county SFC
The new manager will have All-Ireland winning captain Dara Ó Cinnéide and former Westmeath manager Tomas Ó Flatharta on the management team

Lios Póil native Gabriel Ó Cathasaigh has been appointed manager of the West Kerry district football team in advance of the county senior football championship, which begins in September.
Ó Cathasaigh – who recently retired as principal of Gaelscoil Uí Riordáin in Ballincollig, Cork – replaces his fellow Lios Póil club man, James Mac Gearailt as team manager, while Tomas Ó Flatharta will coach the side. Ó Flatharta is a former manager of the Westmeath senior football team, and also worked with Ó Sé as trainer to the Westmeath team that won the Leinster Championship in 2004.
