BTS Agency HYBE Headquarter Raided Over SHOCKING Allegations Of Insider Trading
HYBE manages some of the biggest names in K-pop, including BTS, Tomorrow X Together, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, BOYNEXTDOOR, and KATSEYE. HYBE, the powerhouse agency behind global K-pop sensation BTS, is under scrutiny after authorities raided its headquarters in Seoul over shocking insider trading allegations. According to The Korea Times, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office searched HYBE's office on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation. The probe centers around a HYBE executive accused of earning illegal profits of 240 million KRW (approximately $175,000) through insider trading. Reports claim the unnamed executive bought stock in YG Plus, an affiliate of HYBE's competitor YG Entertainment, based on confidential information about HYBE's planned partnership with the company. The deal led to a surge in YG Plus' stock price, allowing the executive to allegedly make significant gains. HYBE manages some of the biggest names in K-pop, including BTS, Tomorrow X Together, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, BOYNEXTDOOR, and KATSEYE. BTS, the agency's most high-profile act, has achieved global fame with nine platinum records and sold-out stadiums worldwide. But the controversy doesn't end there. In a separate investigation, the Financial Crimes Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police is examining HYBE's chairman Bang Si Hyuk for alleged fraudulent trading dating back to 2019. Authorities allege that Bang misled investors by denying any plans for an IPO, encouraging them to sell their HYBE shares to a private equity fund (PEF) linked to him. At the time, HYBE was secretly preparing to go public. When the company eventually did file for an IPO, Bang reportedly benefitted through a 30% return-sharing deal with the PEF, a transaction not disclosed during the IPO process. The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) now deems this an act of unfair trading under South Korea's Capital Markets Act. If found guilty and the gains exceed 5 billion KRW (approximately $3.64 million), the offence could lead to life imprisonment or a minimum of five years behind bars. HYBE has responded by stating that all transactions were legally vetted, but the growing controversy is fuelling public concern. First Published:

TXT's Taehyun sings about the feeling of first love in surprise cover with 10CM
Terry is all about innocent feelings and young love in his new cover. On Friday evening, Tomorrow X Together's Taehyun surprised MOAs with a surprise joint cover of 'To Reach You' with South Korean singer-songwriter 10CM on Instagram. In the short cover, Taehyun rendered an acoustic version of the song at a playground as 10CM played guitar behind him. Taehyun joins several artists, including Seventeen's DK and IVE's Rei, in covering the song as part of 10CM's promotions for the song's digital release. 'To Reach You' was initially released by 10CM as the OST for Japanese anime 'From Me To You' in 2010, but had only been digitally released on streaming platforms in March 2025. Since then, the song has been topping several domestic music charts in South Korea. Along with the release of the cover, 10 CM posted a close-up video of Taehyun, and the pair also shared snaps of themselves on their Instagram accounts. 'Even the days I laughed so hard, I could fly,' read the caption, which were taken from lyrics of the song. Taehyun and the rest of TXT are set to finish up the final leg of their world tour 'Act: Promise Episode 2' in Japan on May 25. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/JCB, GMA Integrated News

TXT Fans Can't Keep Calm As Kai And Soobin Share ‘Kiss' In Inkigayo Episode
Last Updated: Tomorrow X Together's (TXT) Soobin and Hueningkai have set the internet ablaze with their alleged kiss. Tomorrow X Together (TXT) members Soobin and Hueningkai—also known as Kai—have sent their fandom into a frenzy yet again. A clip from the K-pop band's Inkigayo episode, which came out on May 16, has gone viral. The members, in the video, were challenged to play a classic game—Pepero—where two people must nibble on a cookie stick using just their mouths. The one who ends up with the shortest remaining piece wins. While Taehyun-Beomgyu and Yeonjun-Hueningkai made great efforts to win the game, it was Soobin and Kai who stole the show. The moment which made the fans' jaws drop happened when the last centimetre of the cookie was left, however, Kai refused to back down. He got so close in an attempt to win the game that his lips almost brushed against Soobin's. Kai grabbed Soobin by his neck to bridge the gap when the latter stepped back momentarily. The 'kiss' left the members in splits. The now-viral clip has made Moments of Alwaysness (MOA)—TXT's fandom—come up with the most hilarious reactions. Some were shocked, others laughed the entire event away, while a few claimed they needed a little time to 'cool down" after witnessing the scene. TXT's Soobin and Kai are very close in a recent video. — About Music (@AboutMusicYT) May 16, 2025 One of the users said that if they had been in Soobin's position, they would have fallen for Kai. 'I would question what we are every time I met Kai's eyes after all that," they added. Some fans declared Kai the 'real kisser" of the group and another one joked they want to be a TXT member in the next life. However, some users also accused them of queerbaiting. What's New With TXT? Soobin and Yeonjun recently appeared as guest stars in the Netflix K-drama Resident Playbook. They played members of a fictional boy group HI-BOYZ. The plot traced the life of former idol Um Jae-Il, portrayed by Kang You-Seok, with the trio even filming a special performance for the series. Their song When the Day Comes was released as part of the OST. HI-BOYZ will appear on M Countdown soon. First Published:
