On Friday, June 27, Toni's Fish & Chips in Wishaw will be giving away 500 free pineapple fritters to in-store customers in partnership with Dole Packaged Foods Europe, to celebrate International Pineapple Day. ‌ The partnership comes after recent research from Dole found that 13 per cent of the Scottish public would be willing to try pineapple as part of their fish & chip dish, with almost one-in-five (18 per cent) men daring to add a Hawaiian twist to the classic delicacy*. ‌ Dole have teamed up with Toni's Fish & Chips to encourage local Wishaw residents to try the challenge themselves. The takeaway shop has recently gone viral on TikTok for its bold and innovative battered creations, amassing over 23,000 followers and 206,000 likes. The first 500 customers who visit Toni's from 11am on Friday, June 27, will have the option to add a free pineapple fritter side to their order.
