US star Leon Thomas joins Hey Neighbour fest line-up
Another US star has been added to the line-up for this year's Hey Neighbour festival. The second instalment of the festival, at the end of August at Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria, is expected to be a two-day event this time and the organisers are pulling out all the stops to make it a high-impact event. Leon Thomas is the latest artist to join the line-up. He is an American actor, singer, songwriter and record producer who has appeared in Broadway productions including The Lion King and Caroline , or Change. Beyond acting, he's collaborated with numerous major artists and has writing and production credits on multiple Grammy-nominated projects including his work with Babyface and Toni Braxton on the album Love, Marriage & Divorce . Last month, Doja Cat was announced as the headline act of the festival, making it the singer's first performance in South Africa. 'We are beyond excited to welcome Doja Cat to the Hey Neighbour festival stage,' said Glen Netshipise, CEO for the event. 'Her energy, creativity and ability to connect with audiences on a global scale make her the perfect artist to kick off what will be an epic festival line-up. This is just the beginning — we have more incredible acts to reveal soon.'

Toni Braxton's being dragged for her choice of outfit for her son's graduation, with social media users branding the ensemble 'inappropriate'. The 57-year-old singer took a trip to Washington, D.C. to watch her son Diezel, 22, collect his college degree from Howard University over the weekend. However, the milestone was overshadowed online by Toni's attire of a black sheer button-down shirt and a mesh lace-paneled skirt, worn with a veiled wide-brimmed hat and large black-framed sunglasses. Proud Toni shared a video of Diezel as he walked across the stage to collect his degree. Her caption read: 'I got the best Mother's Day gift! My son is officially a HOWARD UNIVERSITY GRADUATE! 'I'm so proud of you Diezel and can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll accomplish! YOU DID THAT! Proud #BoyMom.' Diezel also shared a series of snaps, including a close-up of his mom's ensemble. Social media users were quick to call out Toni's look as 'not appropriate' and even likened it to 'lingerie' as they accused the singer of upstaging her son. One comment read: 'What in the holy moly is that she's wearing?' Another said: 'She made sure his graduation was NOT about him. How sad.' 'I haven't practiced it yet, but I'm going to soon because I've been wrapped up in this show.' She added: 'I'm looking forward to getting out there and dating.' However, Braxton also admitted that she is nervous to get back out on the dating scene again. 'I mean, dating can be scary too. It can be a little bit,' she said before revealing the type of person she is looking to date next. Of her ideal partner, she said they would be 'a nice guy, someone who will watch Lifetime with me all day long, at least once in the week.'
