NY mother accused of jumping in during fight, attacking teen with a metal bottle
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Long Island woman is accused of attacking a 14-year-old girl with a metal water bottle, hitting her in her head repeatedly, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Toni Monroe, 35, allegedly attacked the victim Tuesday morning at Brentwood High School, according to police.

Monroe's 14-year-old daughter was allegedly involved in a fight with the victim. That is when Monroe reportedly got involved in the fight and struck the victim in the head multiple times with a metal water bottle. A school security guard stepped in to break up the fight, officials said.
The victim, a student at the school where the incident took place, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Monroe faces charges of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She is currently being held at a local jail and is scheduled for arraignment in Central Islip on Wednesday, according to arrest records.
