'My character, Kaya Blanke, is embarking on a new adventure as the story continues to unfold, and I am excited to do the same,' Patterson said in a statement to our sister site Deadline. 'But we will see Kaya again — fans will find out what she's been up to in her new role as 'Detective' next season when I come back to guest star and play with Carrie [Preston] and Wendell [Pierce].' As showrunner Jonathan Tolins told Deadline, Kaya is 'not leaving the world of the show. She's just not going to be with us every day. I don't want to make too much of the change.' Indeed, Kaya promised Elsbeth that they will still get together for fro-yo now and again. And Patterson's character will appear on next week's Season 2 finale, which brings back nine past guest stars as a newly jailed Elsbeth crosses paths with many of the murderers she put behind bars, inside the Midtown Detention Center. Prior to boarding Elsbeth, Patterson's TV credits included E!'s The Arrangement, Disney+'s Turner & Hooch, a couple episodes of Apple TV+'s Servant and a guest spot on Paramount+'s Evil, which of course hailed from Elsbeth creators Robert and Michelle King. Einstein: Rosa Salazar Exits as Female Lead After CBS Delays Premiere

Einstein is looking for a new partner: Rosa Salazar, who was set to star in the upcoming CBS drama alongside Matthew Gray Gubler, is now leaving the series, according to our sister site Deadline. The culprit in this case is the one-year delay on the series that CBS announced earlier this week. Einstein was originally ordered for next season, but now has been pushed back to the 2026-27 TV season. When that happened, Salazar reportedly approached the network and producers CBS Studios with a request not to pick up her option, and they granted it, with the two sides mutually agreeing to part ways. Salazar — an alum of Parenthood and Undone — was to have co-starred as Veronica 'Ronni' Paris, a Detective Inspector for the New Jersey State Police 'who went into law enforcement after the death of her husband.' The role will now be recast. Who would you pair up with Gubler's ? Play casting director in a comment below. The Neighborhood Finale Photos Show Cast of Cancelled Spinoff

The Neighborhood's Malcolm-and-Marty spinoff didn't get the green light, but CBS is still giving viewers a glimpse of the show they would have seen this fall. The untitled offshoot, which was being eyed for the 2025-26 TV season, would have seen Calvin and Tina's adult sons 'embark on new adventures, finally leaving their parents' nest to start the next chapter of their lives,' according to a previously released logline.
