Cleveland Browns Rookie Reportedly Creating All-Pro Buzz, but It's Not Shedeur Sanders
A new report reveals one Cleveland Browns rookie has been stealing the show this summer. But it is not much-hyped quarterback Shedeur Sanders. There has been a huge amount of attention on the Browns' QB situation this summer. Because the team created an awkward situation by drafting not one, but two signal callers in April's draft. And added them to a QB room that already included Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Deshaun Watson. Yet, with no clear frontrunner, there has been a lot of focus on lighting road talent Shedeur Sanders. And his potential to force his way into the starting role with his performance. However, according to Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline, a completely different rookie has amazed coaches and likely locked up a Week 1 starting role. 'In conversations with sources and several players on the Browns roster, Carson Schwesinger has been the talk of camp this summer. Despite the media's seemingly never-ending focus on quarterback Shedeur Sanders.' The second round pick reportedly arrived at training camp with a humble and ego-free attitude, as well as a football IQ and work ethic that 'impressed coaches.' Furthermore, the linebacker only needed less than two weeks to learn the Cleveland Browns' defensive playbook front and back. The number of plays and the complexity of codes in NFL playbooks can take a long time for rookies to learn. However, it clearly was a breeze for the UCLA product. But he showcased his smarts in the pre-draft process, says Pauline. 'According to those who administered the [AIQ and S2 tests], Schwesinger's scores were comparable to those of Luke Kuechley, the former first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers who went on to become a five-time All-Pro as well as NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019.' Pauline added that he is well-respected already by his Browns teammates and they view him 'as a throback type of defender.' Former New York Jets Star Could Get Traded
A new season is afoot for the New York Jets after they overhauled the front office and coaching staff. Yet, when new decision-makers are put in charge, it generally leads to a significant amount of roster turnover. We've already seen some forms of that, like with the introduction of new starting quarterback Justin Fields. Yet, other changes take longer to take effect. Some could even happen throughout the course of the season. According to Sportskeeda's NFL expert Tony Pauline, the next Jets transaction could even involve trading starting running back Breece Hall. Pauline's sources suggest the Jets may very well be willing to trade the former second-round pick before the NFL trade deadline in November. If so, it would mean a significant increase in opportunity for second-year runner Braelon Allen, plus Isaiah Davis. Should the Jets trade Hall, it could mean they later land another running back in the 2026 NFL Draft to keep the cycle going. 'People close to the situation speculate that the Jets could move Hall by the trade deadline, then move forward with Braelon Allen, as well as Isaiah Davis and eventually draft a running back in 2026,' Pauline wrote. 'Davis, a favorite of this coaching staff, has been more than serviceable as a rotational back.' Pauline adds that the Jets could also move on from former third-round tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who hasn't developed the way the previous regime hoped for. Now that new Jets general manager Darren Mougey drafted tight end Mason Taylor in the second round, Ruckert's days in New York could be coming to an end. Tennessee Titans showing interest in Nebraska tight end
Throughout the pre-draft process, there has been much talk about the Tennessee Titans needing to add to their receiving corps. They have been connected to multiple wide receivers. They have also had contact with a few tight end prospects who have potential receiving upside. In a recent article for Sportskeeda, NFL draft expert Tony Pauline added a new tight end to the list of players the Titans have shown interest in: Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II. While he didn't mention where or when the meeting took place, he did say that Tennessee had completed it and that there could be some interest. Advertisement Fidone is a late-round prospect who appears to be rising in draft circles. The 6-foot-5, 254-pound tight end is more of a pure receiver than an in-line blocker and has shown the ability to stretch the field vertically with his combination of speed and catch radius. As mentioned, he can struggle as a run blocker and must refine his technique and build functional strength before taking on a more significant role in an NFL offense. But his natural skills as a receiver give him a high ceiling and the potential to develop into a well-rounded offensive weapon. The Titans would appear to have a solid tight end group heading into the draft. However, adding a dynamic receiving threat to the position could help fill the wide receiver room void by utilizing multiple tight end sets. Plus, with the team having six Day 3 picks, selecting a prospect with untapped potential could be enticing. Report: Colts hosting another OL on official pre-draft 30 visit
Report: Colts hosting another OL on official pre-draft 30 visit The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly hosting another offensive lineman on an official 30 visit prior to the NFL draft. Another offensive line draft prospect and another official 30 visit for the Indianapolis Colts. According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, Sacramento State offensive lineman Jackson Slater has an upcoming official 30 visit with the Colts. Each draft cycle, every team is able to have up to 30 prospects in for visits at the team facility. It's an opportunity for teams to do medical checks if needed, walk through film, and get to know the player. Pauline noted that Slater has put together impressive performances during this draft cycle at both the Senior Bowl and the NFL combine. Measuring in at 6-3 and weighing 311 pounds, Slater put together an elite Relative Athletic Score (RAS) that featured a 5.01 second 40 time. Slater played nearly 3,200 offensive snaps during his four seasons at Sacramento State, just about all of which came at left guard, although he did also work out at center during his Pro Day. This past season was Slater's most productive. He allowed no sacks and only three pressures over 379 pass-blocking snaps--recording a near-perfect score in PFF's pass-blocking efficiency metric. He also graded out well as a run-blocker. For more on Slater, Lance Zierlien of had this to say in his scouting report: "Slater plays with good core strength and firmness into contact. He's well-schooled but might lack the desired foot quickness to keep defenders in front of him once he makes the jump in competition. Slater is smooth in his sets and utilizes independent hands, but will have trouble recovering once he's behind" As of now, the Colts will enter the draft with unknowns along the offensive line. The starting right guard spot has to be filled, and while perhaps Matt Goncalves can fill that role, there should be competition when it comes to earning that playing time. The Colts also need depth along the interior and at tackle--particularly if Goncalves is going to move inside. At the NFL league meetings, Shane Steichen acknowledged that the Colts are looking at what's out there when it comes to the offensive line, whether that be through free agency, the draft, or both.

Draft insider says Dolphins won't address interior OL in Round 1
Draft insider says Dolphins won't address interior OL in Round 1 The Miami Dolphins are in desperate need of help on the interior of their offensive line, but it probably won't be their first priority, according to one draft insider. Experienced insider Tony Pauline wrote that the Dolphins could look to add on the defensive side of the ball in Round 1 and the team's efforts to improve the interior offensive line "won't happen until Days 2 and 3." Specifically, Pauline named Georgia safety Malaki Starks, Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen, and Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant as likely Miami targets. Early indications are that the Dolphins plan to add to their offensive line in free agency. Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine that the team already has a couple of veterans in mind. Still, Miami not making the offensive line their top priority in the 2025 NFL draft would raise eyebrows. After leading the NFL in rushing yards per attempt in 2023, the Dolphins plummeted to 28th in that metric in 2024. No team had more run plays go absolutely nowhere, and Miami's top three guards -- Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones, and Isaiah Wynn -- are all set to become free agents this month. Adding defensive talent makes plenty of sense too, though. With both starting safeties, Jevón Holland and Jordan Poyer, set to become free agents, the team's top returning options at that position are 2024 sixth-round pick Patrick McMorris and special teamer Elijah Campbell. The cupboard is also pretty bare along the defensive line with the contracts of Calais Campbell, Benito Jones, and Da'Shawn Hand all expiring too.
