Packers QB Jordan Love lands on 'NFL Top 100 Players' list for second straight year

For the second straight year, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love landed on the "NFL Top 100 Players" list. Love, who ranked No. 34 on the 2024 list, came in at No. 68 in 2025. In his second year as a starter, Love battled through a knee injury suffered in Week 1 and a groin injury suffered in Week 8. He still threw 25 touchdown passes and improved his yards per attempt average, success rate and passer rating over the 2023 season while the Packers finished 11-6 and made the postseason once again. While Love didn't take a sizable leap forward and struggled late in the year, his peers still view him as one of the best players in the game. Among those helping present Love on the list were Brock Purdy, Rashan Gary, Aaron Jones and Xavier McKinney. With better injury luck and more consistent performances at the wide receiver position in 2025, Love could easily jump back into the top 50 players entering the 2026 season. Love is the second Packers player to make the list, joining edge rusher Rashan Gary (No. 80 overall). From NFL Pro: "Jordan Love threw past the sticks on 60.9% of his third-down passes this season, the fifth-highest rate in the NFL. Despite only completing 43.3% of those passes (sixth-lowest in the NFL), Love threw 10 touchdowns when pushing the ball past the sticks on third down, the second-most in the NFL." Kerby Joseph lands in top 75 of NFL Players list

As the NFL continues its unveiling of the Top 100 Players of 2025, one of the best safeties in the league had his name revealed Friday. Lions safety Kerby Joseph, who is already getting accolades as one of the best safeties by media, coaches and scouts, earned his flowers from his peers, appearing on the list at No. 71. Joseph, who signed a four-year, $86 million contract extension this offseason, led the league with nine interceptions in 2024, earning All-Pro honors. The contract extension made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL, based on the average value of his extension at $21.5 million. The previous high was $21.025 million per year for Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. Joseph was not ranked in the top 100 last season. He is the second Lion to appear on the list. Tight end Sam LaPorta came in at No. 94. Joseph is also the second safety revealed thus far. At No. 92 was Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates. Former Vikings starter from 2024 makes NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 list

The NFL has started rolling out its Top 100 Players for the 2025 Season. They are doing it exclusively on social media this year, compared to specials on NFL Network, compared to years past, in hopes of garnering more engagement, one can assume. That leads us to the latest player to make the list, the first being Aaron Jones at the 98 spot, followed by Andrew Van Ginkel at the 88 spot. They are now joined by one of their 2024 teammates who left in free agency, Sam Darnold, who earns the 72 spot in the rankings done by his fellow NFL players. Darnold stepped up when the Vikings needed him most in 2024 when their top draft pick, quarterback J.J. McCarthy, went down with a knee injury in the preseason. While many people expected the season to be doomed, Darnold led the Vikings to a 14-3 record and was one game away from winning the NFC North. The former USC Trojan is now back out west with the Seattle Seahawks, whom the Vikings will play in 13. Steelers fans get surprise with LB Patrick Queen on NFL Network Top 100

Once the NFL Network announced that Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward was the No. 83 player on their Top 100 players for 2025, we figured we'd have a nice, long wait until we saw another Steeler on the list. But lo and behold, in something of a surprise, the NFL Network announced that Steelers inside linebacker Patrick Queen is the No. 75 player. Queen came to the Steelers as a free agent in 2024 from the Baltimore Ravens. Queen got off to something of a slow start, but by the second half of the season, you could see he was much more comfortable in the offense and started making more plays. 2024 wasn't Queen's best statistical season, but he did finish with a team-high 129 total tackles. This season, Queen should be able to build on 2024 and produce even better paired up in the middle of the Steelers defense with Payton Wilson.
