Torfaen County Borough Council approved the plans in the week commencing Monday, May 26. Discharge of condition Permission has been granted to discharge condition DOC 2, regarding specific biodiversity enhancement measures, of planning application 25/P/0155/FUL. This relates to a proposed replacement and relocation of existing external prefabricated units at Eaton Lakeside, Llantarnam Industrial Estate, Cwmbran. Change of use An approved application will change the use of a café into office space at Unit 1 Torfaen Social Enterprise Unit, Church Avenue, Trevethin, Pontypool. No internal or external changes will be made. Work must begin within five years of the approval date and be carried out according to the approved plans. Signage at school Permission has been granted for signage on the pitch fence at Llantarnam Community Primary School, Llantarnam Road, Cwmbran. The sign will show the funding body and local footballer, Danny Gabbidon. The approval is valid for five years and work must be carried out in line with the approved plans. Adverts must be kept in a clean and tidy condition, with the structures kept in a safe condition. Adverts must not obscure or hinder any traffic sign or railway signal. Front extension Approval has been given for a front extension to the property at 75 Spring Grove, Greenmeadow, Cwmbran. The proposal includes converting the garage into a bedroom and creating an additional hard-standing area. Work must begin within five years of the approval date and be carried out according to the approved plans. A Woodstone nest box will be put on site. Alterations and extension An application for proposed alterations and a two-storey extension to the existing home, including driveway alterations, at Forge House, Cwmavon Road, Blaenavon, has been approved. Work must begin within five years of the approval date and be carried out according to the approved plans. The applicant must get written approval from the council for the materials to be used. A bat box and sparrow nest box must be put in place. Variation of condition Permission has been granted to vary condition 3 of planning permission 20/P/0148/FUL, extending the time period for the construction of a new home office and study above the existing garage and utility room at 23 Greenwood Drive, Henllys, Cwmbran. Discharge of condition An application to discharge condition no.3 (Construction Method Statement) of planning application 24/P/0469/FUL, related to the change of use of the former post office and flat into five residential flats with a ground floor coffee shop at 52 Windsor Road, Griffithstown, Pontypool, has been approved. Non-material amendment A non-material amendment application related to application 23/P/0679/FUL for alterations to balconies at the former Ty Gwyn Residential Home, Ty Gwyn Way, Fairwater, Cwmbran, has been approved. The work must be carried out according to the plans, including the adjustments to the balconies. Discharge of condition An application to discharge condition 4 (Construction Environmental Management Plan by Cardo Group) related to planning permission 23/P/0582/FUL, for the demolition of Greenway Social Club and the proposed development of 12 affordable dwellings, sustainable drainage, car parking, landscaping, and associated works at The Greenway Club, Greenway Drive, Griffithstown, Pontypool, has been approved. Discharge of condition An application to discharge condition 6 (Dark Corridors Plan, Figure 9 Rev B Dark Corridors Low Res) of planning application 23/P/0298/RES Southern Canal Bridge Crossing, Land West Of Cwmbran Drive, South Sebastopol, at Land West Of Cwmbran Drive, has been approved. Car parking spaces An application for the formation of two car parking spaces plus an electric car charging point in the front garden of the existing house at 31 Mynydd View, Cwmfields, Pontypool, has been approved. Work must begin within five years of the approval date and be carried out according to the approved plans. Biodiversity enhancements must be submitted to and approved in writing prior to the start of the development. Discharge of condition An application to discharge condition 4 (materials) of application 19/P/0689/FUL for a single storey side extension and entrance ramp to accommodate funeral home use on the ground floor at Park Street Methodist Church, Park Street, Blaenavon, has been approved.
