Bruce Springsteen's New Album Debuts Twice On The Same Charts

Bruce Springsteen scores multiple Billboard wins with Tracks II and Lost and Found, as both reach ... More the Top Album Sales and Americana/Folk Albums charts together. (Photo byfor Bob Woodruff Foundation) Bruce Springsteen's new box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums is so massive, it had to be released in several different variations. The project includes seven full-length albums that Springsteen recorded at various times throughout his career, but chose not to release for one reason or another. Given the volume of music, the release comes with a hefty price tag, but Springsteen wanted to ensure fans of all kinds could afford it. At the same time Tracks II dropped, the rocker also shared Lost and Found: Selections from the Lost Albums, a one-disc offering featuring just a handful of Springsteen's new cuts at a budget price. Amazingly, both of those brand new albums become charting wins in the U.S., even appearing near one another on some of the same tallies. Tracks II and Lost and Found Debut Together Both Tracks II and Lost and Found debut on the Top Album Sales and Top Americana/Folk Albums charts. Tracks II is the bigger winner between the two, opening at No. 7 on the rankings. Lost and Found launches at No. 16 on the Top Album Sales ranking and at No. 22 on Billboard's tally that focuses solely on Americana and folk music. A Box Set Worth Hundreds of Dollars Despite its price tag — Amazon is selling Tracks II for $260 on CD and more than $300 on vinyl — it emerges as the top performer between the two. Tracks II sold 10,400 copies in its first tracking period, according to Luminate. Lost and Found, meanwhile, sold 5,900 copies — a little more than half as many as its larger companion. Bruce Springsteen's New Bestseller Lost and Found can only be located on the two rankings mentioned, while Tracks II opens on half a dozen lists. The box set appears lowest on the Billboard 200, coming in at No. 67. It also launches inside the top 20 on the Top Rock Albums, Vinyl Albums, and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, landing at Nos. 13, 14, and 15, respectively. Throughout the years, Springsteen has only sent five titles to the Americana/Folk Albums chart. 40% of all of those projects debuted this frame, as he earns his first new arrival in more than half a decade.

Bruce Springsteen Kept From A New No. 1 From A Global Pop Favorite

Bruce Springsteen's Tracks II debuts at No. 2 on four U.K. album charts, while Lorde's Virgin denies ... More him the top spot, though he lands No. 1 on the Americana tally. EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY - AUGUST 30: Bruce Springsteen performs at MetLife Stadium on August 30, 2023 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by) Bruce Springsteen isn't just a legend in the music world — he's still one of the most commercially successful musicians working today. The rocker continues to tour constantly and release new music regularly, including one of his most ambitious projects, which arrives on the charts this week. Springsteen recently delivered Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a box set featuring seven full-lengths he had recorded throughout the years but never shared with the public. While he may be one of music's greatest superstars, even Springsteen couldn't reach No. 1 on most of the albums charts in the United Kingdom, as he's bested by one of the coolest figures in pop music today. Tracks II Debuts at No. 2 on Four Charts Tracks II launches in second place on four different album rankings in the U.K. this week. Springsteen pushes his new collection to No. 2 on the Official Albums, Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Vinyl Albums charts as it arrives. In each instance, he's beaten by Virgin, the latest project by Lorde. The singer-songwriter scores her first champion on each and every one of those tallies with her newest full-length. Bruce Springsteen's Chart History Expands Springsteen might not add to his list of rulers on those four aforementioned charts, but he has already conquered all of them in the past. Tracks II does manage to earn the singer-songwriter another top 10, of which he claims many spread across those lists. So far, Springsteen has earned 24 placements between Nos. 1 and 10 on the Official Albums chart — the most among all of the rankings where Tracks II arrives. He has accumulated the fewest on the Official Vinyl Albums tally, at least among those rosters, where his new set launches at No. 2. Tracks II Hits No. 1 on the Official Americana Chart Tracks II does manage to conquer one tally in the U.K., as it opens at No. 1 on the Official Americana chart. Springsteen has now scored five leaders on that list, out of half a dozen top 10s and seven total appearances on the genre-specific ranking. Tracks II opens in its lowest position on the Official Album Downloads chart, where it enters at No. 4. Notably, the full-length didn't perform well enough on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music to reach the ranking of the most-streamed albums in the country.

Bruce Springsteen's Massive New Album Opens At No. 1

Bruce Springsteen's Tracks II opens at No. 1 on the Official Americana chart in the U.K., beating ... More Beyoncé and giving the rock icon his fifth leader on the tally. (Photo by) Getty Images Whenever Bruce Springsteen releases new music, it always makes news, as the rocker's massive and dedicated fan base rushes to listen to anything he has to share. Tracks II: The Lost Albums was announced early in 2025, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the chance to get their hands on not one, not two, not three, but seven complete full-length albums from the superstar, all packaged together in one special offering. Despite its hefty price tag and intimidating tracklist, Tracks II still becomes a chart-topper in the United Kingdom this week. Tracks II launches at No. 1 on the Official Americana chart, which lists the top-selling full-lengths and short projects in that style throughout the U.K. The box set earns Springsteen his seventh career placement on that genre-specific tally and his fifth leader. He previously dominated with Western Stars , Letter to You , Only the Strong Survive , and, most recently, Best Of , which dropped a little more than a year ago. He missed the top spot by just one space with The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts . Just last month, Springsteen released an unexpected EP, Land of Hope and Dreams , which was recorded at the opening night of the latest U.K. leg of his current worldwide concert trek of the same name. That surprise project peaked at No. 12, and thus far, it's his only effort to miss the top 10. Bruce Springsteen Replaces Beyoncé at No. 1 Springsteen replaces Beyoncé atop the Official Americana chart as her Cowboy Carter slips from No. 1 to No. 3, while Zach Bryan's self-titled effort steps up one space. Beyoncé had recently claimed the top spot as U.K. fans celebrated the Grammy-winning project following her tour of the same name visiting the nation. Springsteen currently claims a pair of top 10s as his Best Of compilation declines from No. 2 to No. 4. Tracks II Hits Six U.K. Album Charts Tracks II arrives on six different album rankings in the U.K. this week and opens inside the top five on all of them. While Springsteen misses out on a new champion on almost all of those lists, he does manage to conquer the Official Americana tally, so he does claim one new ruler.

Rock Legend, 75, Drops 83 Never Before Heard Songs in Epic Release originally appeared on Parade. Just when you think Bruce Springsteen has given us everything, The Boss reminds us why he's called The Boss by delivering the most staggering archival release in rock history. "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" isn't just a collection – it's a full-scale musical earthquake that makes every other vault release look adorably modest. Released June 27 through Columbia Records, this monumental box set contains 83 previously unreleased songs spanning seven complete albums recorded between 1983 and 2018. To put this in perspective: in 1992, Springsteen made headlines by releasing two albums simultaneously. Thirty-three years later, he's casually dropping seven at once like it's the most natural thing in the world. What makes this release extraordinary isn't just the sheer volume – it's the incredible range. These aren't leftover scraps or half-finished demos. The collection showcases Springsteen exploring sounds far beyond the E Street Band's signature stadium rock, venturing into everything from intimate bedroom-pop territory to Great American Songbook balladry to early-'90s drum-loop experimentation. One standout track, "Beautiful Morning," demonstrates the emotional depth that makes Springsteen's unreleased material so compelling. Written after the devastating loss of Kristen Ann Carr, daughter of his then-co-manager Barbara Carr, the song serves as both a meditation on grief and a precursor to later masterpieces like "The Rising." The lyrical imagery – "our spirit flies/Come one beautiful morning when we rise" – shows how personal tragedy transforms into universal hope through Springsteen's songwriting alchemy. For longtime fans who've followed The Boss's six-decade career, "Tracks II" represents the ultimate deep dive into an artist's creative process. These 83 songs reveal the paths not taken, the experiments that didn't make it to official releases, and the constant evolution of one of America's most important songwriters.🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Rolling Stone suggests it may take years to fully absorb all 83 tracks, and honestly, that sounds perfect. In an era of instant consumption and playlist culture, Springsteen has given us something rare: a musical journey that demands time, attention, and repeated listening. Bruce Springsteen Confirms the Electric ‘Nebraska' Tapes Are Real

Bruce Springsteen confirmed the long-rumored existence of an electric, full-band version of his celebrated acoustic record Nebraska — after insisting it didn't exist during a new interview with Rolling Stone. The electric Nebraska has become a mythical object for Springsteen fans over the years, and there's been a lot of evidence suggesting the tapes do exist. For instance, in past interviews with RS, E Street Band keyboardist Roy Bittan and drummer Max Weinberg both separately recalled those sessions, with the latter even remarking, 'It was all very hard-edged. As great as it was, it wasn't what Bruce wanted to release.' More from Rolling Stone Bruce Springsteen's 'Tracks II: The Lost Albums' Is an Epic Chronicle of His Missing Years Bruce Springsteen Says He Finished Recording a New Solo Album Bruce Springsteen Says New Biopic Captures 'Some of the Most Painful Days of My Life' But when asked about the full-band Nebraska during a recent chat about Tracks II: The Lost Albums — Springsteen's massive compendium of unreleased material recorded between 1983 and 2018, out June 27 — the rocker insisted, 'I can tell you right now, it doesn't exist.' He added, 'We tried to do a few songs with the band for a few minor electric versions of 'Nebraska,' maybe something else, I'm not sure. But that record simply doesn't exist. There is no electric Nebraska outside of what you hear us performing on stage.' After being told about Bittan's and Weinberg's memories of those sessions, Springsteen replied, 'I have no recollection of it, but I can tell you there's nothing in our vault that would amount to an electric Nebraska.' About a month later, however, Springsteen texted Rolling Stone's Andy Greene with a remarkable correction: 'Just wanted to give you a heads up. I checked our vault and there IS an electric Nebraska record, though it does not have the full album of songs.' Springsteen did not say which Nebraska songs were recorded, nor whether the collection would get a proper release at some point. There is another upcoming vault project, Tracks III, and while Springsteen said it's already finished and 'ready to be released,' it may not arrive for another few years because of all the other projects he wants to release, too. The musician also didn't rule out the possibility of one day doing a full live run through of Nebraska. While he probably won't do it in connection to the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, which centers around the recording of Nebraska, he didn't dismiss the idea entirely. 'I could possibly go out and play that record straight through one day,' he said. 'I think that would be fun to do, and the fans would get a kick out of it. That's not off the table.'
