Views sought on new Guernsey blue badge parking spaces
Drivers are being asked whether temporary blue badge parking spaces at coastal car parks are in the right places. The States of Guernsey said islanders were being asked for feedback via an online survey running until 14 September. It said the spaces had been installed to improve accessibility but it wanted to hear views on the locations before making them Evans, states disability officer, said: "The introduction of these blue badge spaces in some key areas around the coast will enable more people to get out and about to enjoy these areas, and we want to make sure we have consulted with the public before assessing where they can be best utilised."
Traffic and Highway Services worked with the States Disability Officer to install spaces at:Les Amarreurs Port SoifBordeauxRichmond KioskChouet RousseFort Hommet Cobo (South)Grandes Rocques JerbourgL'Ancresse (East) IcartL'Eree (North and South) South EsplanadePetit Bot Saumarez Park (North and South)
Feedback is now been sought about the specific locations before making them permanent, and ahead of any statutory consultation that may be required, the States of Guernsey said. It added if the spaces were made permanent fixed signage would be installed.
