Wednesday Addams' grandmother is making her entrance in Wednesday season 2 and you might be wondering why the actress who plays her looks so familiar.
Wednesday returned to Netflix on August 6, bringing along with it some familiar faces and some newcomers to the cast. Among those new characters is Grandmama Hester Frump, the mother of Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta Jones) and grandmother of Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) and Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez).

Wednesday's grandmother is played by Joanna Lumley, a British actress best known in the UK for her role Patsy in the BBC comedy series Absolutely Fabulous. International audiences might know her as a Bond girl in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), or from her roles in Trail of the Pink Panther (1982) and Curse of the Pink Panther (1983). She played the wicked stepmother in Ella Enchanted (2004) and starred as the wealthy aunt of Margot Robbie's character in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
Her role in Absolutely Fabulous earned her two BAFTA awards and she was also nominated for the 2011 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for the Broadway revival of La Bête. She's also a recipient of the Special Recognition Award at the National Television Awards and the BAFTA Fellowship award.
The 79-year-old actress was born in India to British parents and has also become known for her activism in Asia. She fought for the rights for Gurkhas, Indian soldiers who fought in the British army, as well as for the rights of exiled Tibetan people.
Lumley is a mother of one and has been married to her husband, Stephen Barlow, since 1986.
In Wednesday, Lumley is wowing with her role as the fabulous, affluent owner of Frump Mortuaries, a mogul who's entrance back into her daughter's life is bringing trouble. Cold and calculating, she's unafraid to cause trouble.
