Morocco and Vietnam strengthen ties to boost economic cooperation and investment
On Friday in Rabat, Morocco's Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held a meeting with Tran Thanh Man, the President of Vietnam's National Assembly. The two leaders focused their discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation. Akhannouch lauded the strong ties between Morocco and Vietnam, emphasizing their mutual commitment to deepening this relationship.
Akhannouch highlighted «the importance of supporting and assisting initiatives that aim to boost economic cooperation», as stated in an official release. Tran Thanh Man, on his part, noted that his visit to Morocco was intended to «strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and foster economic partnerships between Rabat and Hanoi, aligning them with the political and diplomatic bonds shared by the two countries».
The talks also explored the potential for Morocco to «serve as a gateway for Vietnamese investments into the African continent, while Vietnam could act as a bridge for Morocco to access the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a market comprising over 600 million consumers».
The discussions provided an opportunity to exchange views on various regional and international issues of common interest. Additionally, both sides took the chance to commend the progress made in parliamentary relations between Morocco and Vietnam.
