The Smashing Pumpkins announce historic India debut in October 2025 as part of their ‘Rock Invasion 2025' Asia Tour
Legendary alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins are finally headed to India. As part of their "Rock Invasion 2025" Asia Tour, the iconic group will make their highly anticipated India debut this October. Mark your calendars for October 11 at Transform Arena in Bengaluru and October 12 at Jio World Garden in Mumbai for what promises to be an unforgettable experience. The two-city tour, which is being presented by EVA Live, one of India's leading live event companies, is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Indian fans have been anticipating the band's spectacular live performances for more than thirty years, and now their wish is coming true. An all-time setlist for Indian fans The band's most well-known hits and more recent musical experiments will be mixed together in the career-spanning setlist for the India performances. Fans can anticipate hearing hits like "Tonight, Tonight," "1979," "Today," and "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," as well as more recent songs like "Sighommi" and "Beguiled" and more recent albums like ATUM and Aghori Mhori Mei (2024). Asia Tour following a ten-year break Their first Asia tour in the past ten years includes the India leg. The tour lasts two months. This September, the tour will begin in Japan, with stops in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Busan, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi. The 2025 edition of Rock Invasion will be a significant milestone as the band makes their first appearances in India and the Middle East and returns to Asia after a 12-year break. " Registrations, tickets, and priceless experience The District App is currently accepting registrations. Only Mastercard holders will be able to purchase tickets for the pre-sale: Phase 1: from August 5 (12 PM IST) to August 7 (12 PM IST) Phase 2: using the District App from August 7 (12 PM IST) to August 12 (12 PM IST) On August 12 at 4:30 PM IST, general ticket sales will start exclusively through District by Zomato. Additionally, Mastercard holders can access "Priceless Experiences," such as exclusive artist moments, selected city experiences, and premium tickets. An unmatched legacy The Smashing Pumpkins, who were founded in Chicago in 1988, have sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several honors, including an American Music Award, two GRAMMYs, and seven MTV VMAs. Siamese Dream (1993), Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), and Machina/The Machines of God (2000) are among their seminal albums. They returned to their visceral, guitar-heavy sound in 2024 with Aghori Mhori Mei, after releasing ATUM, a follow-up to their 90s hits, in 2023. The Smashing Pumpkins continue to be one of the most influential bands in alternative rock, from their grunge-infused 1990s hits to their more recent records' experimental textures.

Adding to India's packed concert schedule in the second half of the year, Iconic alternative rock group The Smashing Pumpkins will bring their 'Rock Invasion 2025' Asia Tour to Bengaluru and Mumbai in October. This will be the group's first time performing in India. The Bengaluru concert will be at Transform Arena in Bangalore on October 11 and in Mumbai at the Jio World Garden on October 12. 'We're thrilled to be finally coming to India, some 36 years after we started in Chicago. Our music has been unmistakably shaped by this great and mighty culture, and so it will be an hour to play for you: and loudly! For what we hope will be the first of many, many trips to come,' the rock group says. Hailed as one of the most influential alt rock bands, The Smashing Pumpkins formed in Chicago in 1988 and have since released 13 studio albums. Their three decade career has seen several hits such as 'Tonight, Tonight', 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings', 'Today' and '1979', and the group has also won two Grammy awards. Renowned for their guitar work and haunting lyrics, the group will begin their Asia tour in Japan in September 2025, with stops in Thailand, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
