Family terrified neighbour who launched brutal spade attack could return to ‘finish job' after she's freed from jail

Catherine Lloyd was captured on CCTV smashing the tool over the man's head at the back of his home. Lloyd left her unnamed neighbour with a cut to this head and was jailed for ten months for GBH without intent. But due to time already served in custody, she is already back on the streets - leaving the victim and his family terrified. His grandparents-in-law, who live next door to Lloyd, shut down any suggestion from police there had been a "long-running dispute". They told Mail Online: "It's not 'she had a go, we had a go'. There's no tennis involved. It's her just persecuting us for her own enjoyment. "We were subjected to a hate campaign and we have no idea why. It's been hell, it's been purgatory. She's a calculated, scheming woman." The family have now been forced to install an iron gate to "safeguard" themselves from Lloyd in case she comes to "finish the job that she intended". They also released further footage that allegedly shows Lloyd hitting the victim with wooden bat with the help of her ex-boyfriend. The family claim it was the culmination of a three-year campaign of abuse that saw Lloyd make death threats, throw bricks at them and brand her elderly neighbours "paedophiles" and "murderers". She began her campaign in 2020 after putting a letter through the family's letterbox accusing them of leaving broken roof tiles and tree trimmings in her garden, it is understood. The family attempted to speak to her the following day and wrote a letter explaining their contractors had cleaned up the tiling. They also offered to clean up the tree trimmings but got no answer. The family claimed: "Then all of a sudden she just turned. To this day we don't know what reason, but that's when the abuse started. "She was shouting at 1am in the morning that she was going to kill us. I was frightened of going out my front door." The family claimed they called the police repeatedly but said Lloyd was like a "ticking timebomb". They accused her of pushing one of the pensioners off her bike - leaving her bruised - and claimed she threw bricks into their garden while they were enjoying a BBQ. On April 18, 2023, she was caught on camera chillingly shouting: "Do you have a preference? I've got a spade, I've got garden shears or I've got a rake." Just three weeks later, she went to the home and smashed the victim over the head with the spade. DC Lloyd Davis, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: 'Catherine Lloyd's behaviour in this case was completely unacceptable. 'Irrespective of any ongoing dispute, violence like this is not the answer. 'I'm pleased the victim can now move on.' 4 Lloyd had been locked in a long-running dispute with the neighbour Credit: Cambridgeshire Police/Triangle News

Man, 45, died ‘taking de-worming drug for animals after seeing fake claims online it could cure cancer'
Even A-list celebrities have promoted the drug SAD LOSS Man, 45, died 'taking de-worming drug for animals after seeing fake claims online it could cure cancer' A MAN died after taking a de-worming drug for animals as he believed it would cure cancer, an inquest heard. Lee Redpath, 45, was rushed to hospital with signs of liver failure after dosing himself with an anti-parasitic drug called fenbendazole across a three-week period. 7 Lee Redpath, 45, died after taking a de-worming drugs for animals Credit: Lee Redpath/Triangle News 7 He read fake information on social media claiming the drug could prevent cancer Credit: Lee Redpath/Triangle News 7 Long-term partner Lauren Laul gave evidence at the inquest Credit: Lee Redpath/Triangle News He tragically died in Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, on April 29. Lee had ordered the drug, believing it to be safe, from a supplier in Ukraine. The 45-year-old saw fake social media posts which claimed fenbendazole could be a cancer cure - despite it being banned for human use. It's designed to be used against a number of gastrointestinal parasites in animals including giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms and pinworms. However, even A-list celebrities have promoted the drug for humans, including actor Mel Gibson. He told Joe Rogan earlier this year how three of his friends were cured of stage four cancer after taking it with the anti-parasitic Ivermectin. The inquest, held in Lawrence Court, Huntingdon, Cambs, heard how Lee believed the de-wormer could prevent cancer. His long-term partner Lauren Laul gave evidence at the inquest. She told how her boyfriend believed it was safe to use and popular in the States. 'He saw it online, thought it was safe, people in America are using it," said Lauren. 'He didn't have medical assistance taking it so I think some sort of warning should be made. 'I am seeing it advertised online and people can get it themselves like Lee did and unknowingly be killing themselves because they didn't have all the information.' Lauren also suggested Lee may have been taking them for as long as two years before his death. Dr Gwilym Webb, a consultant hepatologist at Addenbrooke's warned fenbendazole had 'no proven benefit for preventing or treating cancer in humans.' 7 Lauren suspected Lee could have been taking the drug for up to two years before his death Credit: Lee Redpath/Triangle News 7 The 45-year-old was rushed to hospital on April 12 last year but sadly died on April 29 Credit: Lee Redpath/Triangle News 7 He ordered fenbendazole believing it to be safe Credit: Lauren Laul/Triangle News He told the inquest Lee was not eligible for a liver transplant due to alcohol misuse in the three months before. But a post-mortem concluded Lee's liver failure was due to the fenbendazole. Assistant coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Caroline Jones, concluded Lee died of liver and renal failure due to fenbendazole induced liver injury on a background of alcohol related cirrhosis. 'I was satisfied as to the toxic effects of fenbendazole and that it was this that was the primary cause of the injury," she told the inquest. 'It is a potent anti-worming treatment which was taken at far higher relative doses than had ever been envisaged and over a far longer time scale. 'During his admission he advised doctors that he had been taking the drug fenbendazole, which he purchased online from a supplier in the Ukraine after seeing videos about its supposed anti-cancer properties. 'It was thought likely fenbendazole was the primary cause of the acute injury. Lee's conditions deteriorated despite treatment but he was not a candidate for transplant. 'He improved briefly but on April 27 his condition worsened, it was recognised Lee's organs were failing and he passed away at 6.06 pm on April 29. 'While Lee may have taken fenbendazole with good intentions to improve his health, it constituted a deliberate act with the unintended consequence of his death.' Lauren urged the coroner to write a prevention of future deaths report, but Miss Jones denied her request. The coroner said there was not "sufficient evidence", although she was "concerned" about people buying the drug online. Lee's death was recorded as misadventure.

Moment Asda shopper SMASHES vegan's megaphone, hurls it to floor & stomps off during protest over eating lambs at Easter
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THIS is the moment a fuming shopper smashed a vegan protestor's megaphone during a protest against lamb at Easter. The group held up screens showing footage of animal slaughter and spoke through a loud speaker inside an Asda branch in Canterbury, Kent. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 An animal rights protestor had her megaphone pulled out of her hand Credit: Ella Wild/Triangle News 2 Ella Wild uploaded the video to her Facebook page Credit: Ella Wild/Triangle News But one man saw red as he grabbed the woman's loud hailer and hurled it to the floor before stomping off. While some said the group were in the wrong for being inside the store, others described the man as a 'stereotypical meat headed, meat eating man-atrocity.' Protester Ella Wild uploaded the video to her Facebook page, saying 'an angry man' had destroyed her megaphone. Footage from inside the store shows Ella speaking about how animals are celebrated at Easter - yet also eaten. The man then grabs her megaphone, knocking her to the side before he smashes it to pieces on the floor. Police then arrive as the protestors remonstrate with store staff. Many who saw the footage said the man was in the wrong but insist the protestors shouldn't have been in the shop in the first place. One commenter said: 'I don't agree with the man breaking the megaphone... but the staff should have kicked the protesters out because a megaphone in a store about what people eat is just ridiculous.' Another added: 'Not needed in a store in my eyes, 'You should have been kicked out the moment you stepped in the store.' We must tax all meat to force Brits into vegan lifestyle, Labour donor claims in fiery Never Mind the Ballots clash Others rallied behind Ella calling the man "pathetic" and a "wimp". One said: 'Big brave bloke goes for girl with megaphone. 'The standard of what passes for a man these days is just effing pathetic." Another added: 'Pretty much sums up a stereotypical meat headed, meat eating man-atrocity.' But others said he had been provoked. One commenter said: "You're using a megaphone to cause a loud disturbance in order to 'raise awareness about animal cruelty." 'I'm vegetarian and I am proud to be, that wouldn't cause me to try and turn others away from their decision.' Another added: 'Causing disruption is not going to help your cause, probably the opposite.' Kent Police and Asda have been approached for comment.
