JD Sports reveals opening date for store on Glasgow's Buchanan Street
The retail giant will officially open its doors on Thursday, May 8, with plans for a pre-launch celebration the night before.
The exclusive, ticket-only event on May 7 will be held at the new store and will feature a meet-and-greet with players from both the men's and women's Scottish national teams.

There will also be a build-your-own trading card station, a "Crack the Code" game with prizes, and a DJ to entertain guests.
The opening weekend will see an exclusive performance from Triple01, with special guests and a meet-and-greet session.

JD Sports will also be giving away JD x Crep Protect goodie bags, with only a limited number available.
Shoppers will also have a chance to get their hands on a limited number of Air Max 95 "Pink Foam" trainers.

The new store will stock a variety of brands, including Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour, The North Face, and Berghaus.
It will be located in the former Gap and Paperchase units at 185-221 Buchanan Street.
From May 9, it will be open from 8am to 7pm on weekdays, with extended hours until 8pm on Thursdays.
The store will also be open from 8am to 7pm on weekends.
