EXCLUSIVE Daniel Bedingfield breaks 10-year silence to slam Leigh Francis for claiming he was DEAD on Celebrity Juice telling the Keith Lemon comic 'f*** you'

Leigh Francis has been blasted by another of his comedy victims, who claims the controversial comic went 'too far' with an outrageous death 'gag.' Chat show host Trisha Goddard and singer Craig David have previously slammed the Bo' Selecta! creator, 52, for his offensive portrayals of the pair on his Channel 4 series. Plus ex-TV host Melanie Sykes also hit out at Leigh for making personal remarks about her during an appearance on ITV series Through The Keyhole, which he hosted in the guise of another of his alter egos, Keith Lemon. And now 10 years after the comic claimed he had passed away while appearing on ITV2 's Celebrity Juice, also in the guise of Lemon, singer Daniel Bedingfield has broken his silence and slated Leigh for the impact the viral gag had on his family. The Gotta Get Thru This hitmaker, who was a showbiz recluse at the time, revealed many loved ones feared Leigh's claim was true and the 'joke' caused much distress. Daniel, who referred to Leigh by the name of another of his comic creations - Avid Merrion, accused the funnyman of taking great 'delight' in tricking the public he had passed away. He said: 'The delight in Avid Merrion telling people I was dead - f**k you, Avid Merrion. 'All my friends called me saying, are you dead? Not cool, man. 'He said I was dead as a human, it's not cool bro. It's too far.' Speaking on the Nicky Byrne HQ podcast, Daniel, 45, added Leigh was part of a culture who enjoyed 'taking down' celebrities and lauded one of his other targets, 7 Days singer Craig, for speaking out about it. He said: 'There's a delight in taking apart the people we respect in Britain, tearing people down. Craig's been really open about that.' Leigh's gag went viral shortly after it was mentioned on Celebrity Juice, which was axed after 14 years in 2022. Daniel became one of the most searched artists on Google in 2015, due to fans desperately trying to find out if Leigh's claim was true. The joke was particularly sensitive for Daniel given he nearly lost his life for real in 2004 following a near fatal car crash in New Zealand, which left him with serious head and neck injuries. Leigh no longer performs as Keith Lemon, or any other of his characters, following a backlash in recent years. The comedian, who now presents a drive time show on Virgin Radio as himself, issued an apology to both Trisha Goddard and Craig David after they criticised him for his 'racist' depictions on Bo' Selecta! Channel 4 have since removed all episodes of from their streaming platforms. Speaking in 2020 in BBC2's Newsnight, Trisha, 67, said: 'A couple of times I bumped into Leigh, I couldn't even talk to him I felt so sick.' She also said Leigh had since 'had a long talk' with one of her daughters and had been 'absolutely horrified' to learn of the bullying she endured at school as a result of his portrayal. And Craig, 44, told in 2023 he moved to America to escape the 'reaction' to his mocking, likening the abuse to childhood bullying. He said: 'It was very reminiscent of days at my school, when I was growing up, when I'd been bullied, not for long periods of time but just the experience of bullying. 'Once you've experienced it, it's like a trauma that sticks with you. Even then, it was that when the teacher's there, you sort of lean in to that 'everything's OK' and it's a smile, and the guy's holding you, he's gripping you like 'if you say anything it's not just going to be here, it's going to be outside the school gates. 'And I felt that all over again with this, it was being ridiculed and bullied all over again on national TV. The fact that he was wearing a black rubber mask, I mean that throws open the whole thing of him blackfacing, which just wouldn't be acceptable now.' Leigh made a public apology in 2020, expressing his regret at mimicking the black stars. He said: 'I portrayed many black people. Back then I didn't think anything about it, people didn't say anything, I'm not going to blame other people. 'I've been talking to some people and I didn't realise how offensive it was back then. 'And I just wanna apologise and, you know, say sorry for any upset I caused.' He added: 'I guess we're all on a learning journey.' Former Big Breakfast presenter Sykes, 54, claimed Leigh's offensive remarks about her while she made a guest appearance on Through The Keyhole left her 'crying all night.' Melanie Sykes told how she even complained to producers about the comments. She said: 'I went into the studio and I didn't think Keith was going to be like he was on the other show that he does (Celebrity Juice) where it's all sex and b*** jobs and talking about people's a***holes and all that. 'I sat there for a three-hour record and he did all of that stuff to me verbally to entertain the live audience – because it was never going to make the edit of the show, because it was a family, Saturday night show, so he used me to entertain the audience. 'I had Jonathan Ross to my right and Jordan Banjo to my left and the first thing that Keith said to me, in character, was: 'I bet your a***hole smells of flowers.' It makes me want to cry right now because I was so caught in the headlights and wasn't expecting it.' She added: 'It went from bad to worse, I kept thinking, what am I going to do? I can't get up and storm out because it will be all over the newspapers that I've walked out and it will, of course, be my fault, everybody in the audience has a mobile phone so they could see.'

Celebrity Big Brother's Trisha Goddard shares health update amid incurable cancer battle

Trisha Goddard shared a health update on Instagram on Sunday amid her incurable cancer battle. The Celebrity Big Brother star, 67, who has secondary breast cancer - also known as metastatic or stage 4 breast cancer - said she is experiencing Raynaud's syndrome, a condition that causes reduced blood flow to the fingers and toes. The condition can be a side effect of some cancer treatments, particularly chemotherapy, and can change the colour of the skin, causing burning or numbness. Trisha posted a photo of her bright white fingers, explaining that her Raynaud's has worsened since being on chemo. She captioned the post: 'Sheesh… Anybody else dealing with pesky Raynaud's? 'If you do, here's what happens when you forget to wear gloves when buying frozen food, and then go about putting it in your freezer, duh! The Celebrity Big Brother star, who has secondary breast cancer - also known as metastatic or stage 4 breast cancer - explained that her Raynaud's has worsened since being on chemo 'Had it mildly for years, but over a year of infusions and chemo every three weeks has ramped up my Raynaud's quite a bit. Ouch! 'Here's herself waiting for the painful fingers to go bright red, then blue, then icily grey/white before they eventually go back to normal.' Trisha added that she's learnt to adjust her lifestyle around the condition - from wearing gloves to using a napkin to hold a cold glass. She continued: 'Over the years, I've learned to adapt; for instance, I wear gloves while driving, so my car's air conditioning doesn't trigger Raynaud's in my fingers. 'When I have a cold drink, I use a napkin to hold the glass and so on. 'BUT every so often I forget; the burning sensation starts and my fingers go painfully numb while they turn the colours of the Union Jack.' She then provided further information about the condition to her followers, adding: 'Bit of info below folks, Chemotherapy can induce or exacerbate Raynaud's phenomenon, a condition where blood vessels in the fingers and toes temporarily narrow in response to cold or stress, leading to reduced blood flow. 'This condition can manifest as skin colour changes (white, blue, red), numbness, and pain in the affected areas. 'While often temporary and resolving after chemotherapy, it's important to manage and be aware of this side effect.' It comes after Trisha opened up about living with stage four cancer in the famous Celebrity Big Brother house last month. Making sure she was fit and well ahead of entering the house, she told MailOnline: 'I went to the infusion centre on April 1. I call it my spa room. 'I had a soupcon of chemo and targeted hormone therapy, one little bag after the other. I have a port catheter [in her chest] and I get plugged in. 'Then the next day I flew over to the UK. I had to wear compression garments – tights and a sleeve on my arm – and I took disinfectant wipes for the seats, tables, armrest and loo. 'My oncologist is brilliant, a rock star, and so sweet. He said, 'I'm going to help you do this because your message [of hope] is so great.' She had an ultrasound scan when she got to England to check she had not developed a deep vein thrombosis – she hadn't – and a medical. Trisha had signed up for Celebrity Big Brother to prove to patients they should 'not be scared of living' after being diagnosed with stage four cancer. After going head-to-head with Patsy Palmer and Jack P Shepherd in the public vote, Trisha received the fewest number of votes to be saved and was the second star to leave. As Trisha headed out of the house, the presenter admitted she was 'a bit sad' to be leaving the show. Speaking to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, Trisha brushed off the housemates' reasons for nominating her, especially Chesney Hawkes' that conversations with her felt like being on her talk show. She said: 'That's actually a great compliment... No, because we all said we were all scratching around in the dirt to find something negative to stay around each other.' The star also reflected on her decision to sign up for the show, admitting it was a welcome break for her from cancer treatment. She added: 'Really, it meant a lot, it meant a lot, it was respite it was a holiday from having to think about cancer, because with the BB team and with my team in the Stes so I didn't have to think of the next scan, and I could be like a child again. 'Yes, I did talk about cancer because I had to, and it is part of my life, as it is for 3.4 million Brits. It was just a break from having to think about it.

Trisha Goddard reveals surprise connection to Chesney Hawkes seconds after arriving in CBB house "BUT every so often I forget; the burning sensation starts and my fingers go painfully numb while they turn the colours of the Union Jack." Trisha then added some further details about the syndrome to help inform her followers. "Bit of info below folks," she concluded. "Chemotherapy can induce or exacerbate Raynaud's phenomenon, a condition where blood vessels in the fingers and toes temporarily narrow in response to cold or stress, leading to reduced blood flow. "This condition can manifest as skin color changes (white, blue, red), numbness, and pain in the affected areas. "While often temporary and resolving after chemotherapy, it's important to manage and be aware of this side effect." Signs of Raynaud's Raynaud's disease means that the small blood vessels in the extremities such as the hands, feet, fingers or toes are over-sensitive to even the slightest changes in temperature, cold conditions and sometimes emotional stress. When our bodies are exposed to the cold, a normal response is for the blood vessels to become narrower. When someone has Raynaud's this reaction may be much more extreme. It will sometimes cause a noticeable colour change to the affected areas, with the skin turning white, then blue and finally to red as the circulation returns. This is known as a Raynaud's attack. A Raynaud's attack can be very uncomfortable, and sometimes quite painful. It can also make everyday tasks, like buttoning a jacket or unzipping a purse, very difficult. Raynaud's symptoms generally affect the fingers and toes, but all extremities can be involved, including the hands, feet, ears, nose, lips, tongue and nipples. Raynaud's is a common condition thought to affect up to ten million people in the UK. Symptoms may include: Cold fingers and toes Colour changes in your skin in response to changes in temperature or stress Colours changes in the affected area from white to blue then red Numbness, tingling or pain in affected areas Stinging or throbbing pain when you're warm or get relief from stress Source: Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK It comes just a month after Trisha opened up about living with stage four cancer in the famous CBB house. Trisha underwent a round of chemotherapy and flew to the UK from her home in Connecticut just 24 hours later to move into the CBB house. Speaking about the process of making sure she was fit and well for the programme, she told the Mail Online: "I went to the infusion centre on April 1. I call it my spa room. "I had a soupcon of chemo and targeted hormone therapy, one little bag after the other. I have a port catheter [in her chest] and I get plugged in. "Then the next day I flew over to the UK. He said, 'I'm going to help you do this because your message [of hope] is so great.'' Trisha then underwent an ultrasound scan upon touching down in England to ensure she was well and and to check that she had not developed a deep vein thrombosis. In order to make her stay in CBB comfortable, Trisha was afforded a number of luxuries. She originally thought she would be given a bed with a curtain in the main bedroom but was shocked to discover she had been given her own private suite. Trisha told the Mail: "I thought I was going to get – ooh – a bed with a curtain but amazingly they decided I should have my own bedroom, loo and bathroom which I genuinely wasn't expecting. "I was blown away by that. And they gave me my own low-fat food in a little fridge. "I missed out on not being in the main bedroom – I got a bit of FOMO." She also opened up on some of the medication she was taking during her stay in Britain's most famous house. Trisha added: "I had to take poo powder three times a day. It's [constipation] one of the side-effects of chemo. "I also had a prescribed dose of calcium, and so many people will say they're tired with chemo. Not moi! I take Ritalin [a stimulant typically prescribed for ADHD]. "It stops exhaustion. This is what upsets me: there are so many people with cancer, so many suffering so much they can't function, but side-effects can be treated. "[For nausea] I do a super mild wibbly-wobbly workout with weights that helps my balance. The hospital doesn't even need to give me anti-nausea meds." Trisha was evicted from the CBB house in the show's second week, becoming the second contestant to be evicted.
