Is the 2025 Maserati Grecale Worth It? Let's Talk Numbers
What's the price tag on a brand-new 2025 Maserati Grecale in global markets? That's exactly what we're diving into in this report. After making its debut in 2023, Maserati's luxury compact SUV — the Grecale — returns for the 2025 model year with an updated base trim and a broader selection of paint and interior options. Buyers now have access to 37 exterior colors, thanks to the expanded standard palette and Maserati's custom Fuoriserie program. Inside, there's a wider range of leather combinations, including both monochromatic and two-tone designs. The 2025 Maserati Grecale is officially on sale. The Modena trim is now $2,000 cheaper than last year's version, while the high-performance Trofeo has been discounted by $3,300. Here's a breakdown of the updated prices: Base Grecale – starting at around $70,000 Grecale Modena – from $77,995 Grecale Trofeo – from $108,395 Grecale Folgore (Electric) – from $110,495 These figures include a $1,495 destination and handling fee. Performance & Powertrain Beyond the pricing, the 2025 Grecale lineup comes with a solid mix of performance options. The base model, now simply called 'Grecale' (formerly GT), features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a mild-hybrid system, delivering 296 horsepower. The Modena version shares the same engine but gets a performance bump to 325 horsepower. All gasoline-powered models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. While the base version now matches the Modena in raw output, the Modena still offers a more engaging driving experience thanks to adaptive suspension and a limited-slip rear differential. At the top of the lineup sits the Grecale Trofeo — a true performance SUV powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6, borrowed from the Maserati MC20. It delivers 523 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, offering a seriously sporty edge. For those leaning toward electrification, the Grecale Folgore brings dual electric motors producing a combined 542 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque. On paper, it outguns the Trofeo in power, but not in acceleration. Maserati claims a 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) time of 4.0 seconds for the Folgore, compared to just 3.6 seconds for the Trofeo. According to the U.S. EPA, the Folgore's 105-kWh battery provides a driving range of up to 245 miles on the standard 20-inch wheels. Opting for 21-inch wheels slightly reduces that figure. This report covers the latest updates to the Maserati Grecale lineup for 2025 — including revised pricing and performance details across both combustion and electric models.

Maserati GranCabrio sets a new standard with base model reveal on ice
Maserati unveiled an entry-level version of their GranCabrio Convertible at The I.C.E. St. Moritz event this past weekend. Simply dubbed "GranCabrio," this trim level aims to be an entry point into the Italian marque's grand touring lineup. The Italian automaker also revealed a one-of-a-kind GranCabrio and a new dealer-installed Sports Exhaust system meant to enhance the rowdiness of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio new GranCabrio will use a specially tuned version of the Nettuno twin-turbo V6, which produces 483 horsepower compared to the Trofeo's 542 horsepower. Even with less power, the GranCabrio can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. All-wheel drive and air suspension are standard. The launch configuration that Maserati showed off at I.C.E. perfectly matched its snowy surroundings, with a body finished in Verde Giada paired with 20" front and 21" rear wheels with Crio (Imola) diamond-cut gloss black design and matching black brake calipers. The cabin featured an ice-colored perforated full-grain leather interior and the Trident logo embroidered on the headrests. That specific GranCabrio also featured the iconic 19-speaker Sonus faber sound system, and 3D carbon-fiber finishes on the interior surfaces. Pricing for the entry-level GranCabrio will reportedly be announced next month, with production in North America set to begin in March. Maserati claims orders will open in April, and sales will begin in Fuoriserie Customization Program also revealed a one-off GranCabrio specifically dedicated to the event. Aptly named "ONE of ONE - THE I.C.E.," this special version wore an exclusive Ice Liquid tri-coat paint job, gloss blue brake calipers behind unique forged white wheels with Astreo design, contrasting air intakes in Gloss White, and a Blue Marine soft top over an ice-colored leather interior with similar 3D carbon-fiber finishes. Maserati didn't mention who this special edition belonged to, but we'd hazard a guess that it either went to a very affluent Maserati customer or it will spend time as a showpiece for the GranCabrio is a sexy addition to Maserati's stable in stock form, but that special edition is something else. The blue and white hues of ice are so well represented in the paint job and wheels that Maserati's designers really deserve a hand. It's also hard to argue with a more affordable version of the GranCabrio. Given its specs, it seems that Maserati did not skimp out on power just because it's the base trim. We'll have to see just how "affordable" it really is, but considering that the Trofeo starts at $203,000, don't expect it to drop below six figures. Love reading Autoblog?
