Willimantic woman arrested for theft from Ulta Beauty
WILLIMANTIC — A woman from Willimantic was arrested in March for larceny of over $1,000 worth of merchandise from Ulta Beauty in Killingly. According to the Killingly Police Department, on March 17, officers responded to 2071 Killingly Commons Drive to the Ulta Beauty store for a non-active larceny. When the officers arrived, they reviewed surveillance provided by the store. It was determined that the accused, 40-year-old Rosalind Vega-Kish of Willimantic, had left the store with over $1,000 worth of merchandise. An arrest warrant was then issued for her arrest. On Thursday, Vega-Kish was taken into custody by the Hartford Police Department and then transported to the Troop-D barracks for processing. Vega-Kish was charged with larceny in the fifth degree and was issued a bond of $2,500.

Bicyclist dies in car crash in Branson
BRANSON, Mo. — A bicyclist has died following a car crash in Branson on early Wednesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway, a 68-year-old man from Kansas City has died after being struck on his bicycle around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Branson. Salem man arrested for allegedly shooting electric utility workers MSHP says the man was struck in the rear by a 74-year-old Branson woman driving a 2013 Chrysler 200 as she was going northbound. The man was pronounced deceased on the scene by Taney County Coroner. The next of kin has been notified of the man's passing. This is Troop D's 45th fatality crash for 2025. Death investigation underway after body pulled from Merrimack River, police say
Authorities are investigating after a body was recovered from the Merrimack River on Monday night. According to the New Hampshire State Police, troopers from the Troop D barracks responded to Hooksett around 6:14 p.m. for a report of a person found deceased in the river. The identity of the deceased party is being held pending an autopsy and next of kin notification. Police say there is no known threats to the public at this time. Troopers were assisted by members of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, the Hooksett Police Department, and the Hooksett Fire Rescue Department. Louisiana State Police honored K9 trooper Pita
LOUISIANA (KLFY) — Pita,the retired K9 trooper, was honored for her service by the Louisiana State Police after passing away due to declining health authorities said. Before retiring in February 2024, Pita served for nine years for the Troop D area and its agencies as a member of the Criminal Patrol Unit with her keen sense of smell. 'When she was not locating narcotics, she could often be found visiting schools and searching for as many belly rubs as she could from the kids.' said The Louisiana State Police on a Facebook post. During retirement, Pita enjoyed her final years with her handler, Sgt. Moseley. 'We thank Pita for her loyalty, dedication, and service to the State of Louisiana. Car crash near Diamond kills Pierce City child
NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — A child from Pierce City died on Monday evening after a car crash occurred east of Diamond, Missouri. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a 55-year-old man was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer failed to yield on Highway J, three miles east of Diamond. Mansfield motorcyclist dies after crash at dead-end road The man struck a 2003 Ford F250, carrying two adults and two children. According to the report, the 6-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin has been notified has been notified of the child's passing. This is Troop D's 31st fatality of 2025.
