However, the Lakers need to make some serious amends if they want to win the Championship in the coming years. Also Read:

Marcus Jordan Celebrates 40 Days of Sobriety After DUI & Drug Possession Arrest
Source: Amanda Edwards / Getty Months after being charged with a DUI and drug possession, Michael Jordan's son, Marcus, is starting anew. Marcus has taken steps to improve his life, and now he's celebrating being sober for a little over a month. He shared the news via his Instagram Story, which showed him getting a workout in alongside text that read, '40 days and counting…' The 34-year-old's new lifestyle comes after he was arrested in Florida back in February on possession of cocaine when he was found sitting in his Lamborghini, which got stuck on train tracks after leaving a strip club. Cops say the car had bumper damage and suspected it occurred after he fled from authorities who attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. Cops noticed the smell of liquor coming from the car, his eyes were 'bloodshot' and 'glassy,' and they arrested him on suspicion of DUI when he failed the field sobriety test around 1 am. After placing him in cuffs, they conducted a thorough search and uncovered a baggy full of a substance that was later proven to be cocaine, and then amended to ketamine. The complete list of offenses —all of which he pled not guilty to—includes one felony charge of ketamine possession, one misdemeanor count of DUI with property damage, and one count of resisting arrest. He was released after posting a $4,000 bond, and his legal team later released a statement on his behalf acknowledging his substance abuse issues. They were also hoping a judge would order him to enter a treatment program, which would 'not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses.' Days after the arrest, he was back home and thanked those who'd reached out to him. While refusing to offer any comment, he did say he planned to focus on his sneaker store, Trophy Room, which has been based in Florida since 2016. 'I appreciate everyone reaching out. I'm focusing on @trophyroomstore right now and won't be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life,' he wrote. 'I sincerely appreciate your concerns & thank you for your kind understanding.' As Marcus tried to get the officers on-scene to help him, they noticed signs that he was intoxicated. The former couple also appeared together on season 2 of Peacock's The Traitors, where he was 'murdered' in episode three. Marcus was allegedly unable to complete a field sobriety test and the 'odor of an alcoholic beverage was getting stronger as he spoke,' according to police. He admitted to drinking 'some' beverages earlier in the night as officers reported he had 'bloodshot and glassy' eyes and seemed 'confused where he was located.' Officers said he became 'agitated and irritated' as he refused to get into the police car, questioning why he was being treated like a criminal. Once he was in the squad car, police allegedly found a bag of cocaine in his pocket. Marcus Jordan Breaks Silence After DUI Arrest
Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan and onetime fixture on The Real Housewives of Miami, is speaking out following his DUI arrest earlier this week. Jordan took to his Instagram Stories on Feb. 6 to address the elephant in the room—or rather, acknowledge it and ignore it, as he insisted he's busy with his Trophy Room retail store in Orlando. "I appreciate everyone reaching out. I'm focusing on [the] Trophy Room store right now and won't be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life," he wrote, per TMZ. "I sincerely appreciate your concerns and thank you for your kind understanding."The 34-year-old was arrested on Feb. 4 on charges of driving under the influence, drug possession, and resisting arrest. According to NBC News, officers in Maitland, Florida found Jordan's blue Lamborghini stuck in railroad tracks after 1 a.m. local time; a police report said that the car had sped away from an attempted traffic stop by Seminole County police just a few minutes earlier. They then found a bag of white powder on his person that was proven to be cocaine. "I stood at the window and immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle," an officer wrote in the affidavit supporting Jordan's arrest. "The defendant kept saying he made a wrong turn and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the railroad tracks. I noticed the driver had slurred speech and he was confused where he was located. I noticed the driver had red bloodshot and glassy eyes." Jordan was released from jail shortly after his arrest.
