Zupee hits 150 million users, gameplay count doubles in eight months
Online gaming platform Zupee has clocked 150 million lifetime users on its platform while nearly doubling the total number of gameplays in just over eight months. The gaming firm, which operates online games such as Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, and Trump Cards, crossed the 100 million mark in terms of users in November last year. During the same time, it had recorded 6.6 billion gameplays. At present, the Delhi-based company has logged 12.5 billion gameplays on the platform. The brand introduced skill-based Ludo formats in India, including Ludo Supreme, Ludo Turbo, and Ludo Supreme League. The firm said these formats offer shorter and faster gameplays—under 10 minutes—for Indian users. 'We at Zupee are creating more than just formats of Ludo; we are building a transparent, skill-based gaming culture where entertainment blends with fairness and innovation. As we continue to scale, we are committed to delivering a seamless gaming experience for our users with strong focus on technological innovation and responsible gameplay,' said Govind Mittal, Chief Spokesperson, Zupee. The company claims to integrate features such as RNG (random number generator) certification, a no-bot policy, and blockchain-backed fair play. Zupee was founded by Dilsher Singh Malhi and Siddhant Saurabh in 2018. It is backed by marquee investors including WestCap Group, Tomales Bay Capital, Nepean Capital, AJ Capital, Matrix Partners India, and Orios Venture Partners. The firm has raised $122 million in total equity funding, according to data from market intelligence platform Tracxn.

The US' new $5 million residency visa, called the Trump Card, has attracted nearly 70,000 applicants, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has said. The scheme is being spearheaded by US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick , who launched a dedicated portal — — for registration. The programme is also being promoted as a revenue-generating initiative to reduce the US's $36 trillion debt.A chief executive of a global tech company, speaking through a spokesperson, said his firm would consider buying more than 100 Trump Cards if the initiative is implemented. He called it an opportunity 'to welcome the world's best and brightest to the United States — particularly entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists'.Currently, the US EB-5 visa programme allows foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency through investments of up to $1.8 million. Approximately 14,000 EB-5 visas were issued last year, according to Invest In the USA, an industry group. Lutnick is advocating for the Trump Card to replace EB-5 and aims to scale the programme Commerce Department is planning to issue tens of thousands of Trump Cards in the coming months. Trump described it as 'somewhat like a Green Card, but at a higher level of sophistication.'The website features the message 'The Trump Card is Coming' and invites individuals and businesses to register interest by submitting their name, email, and visa category. Group applications of 10 or more are permitted for businesses. Applicants may also include spouses and others in their submissions.
