Tulisa to recount drugs trial in new memoir detailing her career highs and lows
Tulisa to recount drugs trial in new memoir detailing her career highs and lows The pop singer, 36, who found fame in hip-hop trio N-Dubz, was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in 2013 Tulisa Contostavlos (Image: GETTY ) Tulisa Contostavlos has announced a new memoir that will detail the highs and "unimaginable lows" of her music career, including her collapsed drugs trial in 2014. The pop singer, 36, who found fame in hip-hop trio N-Dubz, was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in 2013, but the charges were later dismissed after prosecution witness, "fake sheikh" journalist Mazher Mahmood, was found guilty of tampering with evidence in the trial. The book, titled Judgement, has been written using journals that Contostavlos wrote in amid the media storm following the sting operation that saw Mahmood pose as a wealthy film producer called Samir Khan. In an Instagram video on Tuesday, Contostavlos said: "90% of this no one has ever known. "The story of my year in 2013 has been spoken about many times, but it has never been told in the way that it's told in my new book. "This is living all the juiciest moments from behind the scenes. This book will have you crying one moment, on the edge of your seat the next." Article continues below She added: "I have given absolutely all of myself in this book, it's Sex And The City on a drugs charge." She wrote in the caption: "As you all know, I've been through the highs and some unimaginable lows in my career. "For the first time, I'm sharing everything. The truth, the pain, the fallout, and the strength I discovered when my world fell apart." The singer had been accused of arranging for Mahmood to be sold more than £800 worth of cocaine by one of her contacts following an elaborate sting for The Sun On Sunday in 2013. During a meeting at a hotel in London, Mahmood posed as a film producer and plied Contostavlos with alcohol as they discussed an acting role alongside Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. Following the collapse of the trial Contostavlos said "I have never dealt drugs and never been involved in taking or dealing cocaine" in a statement where she also accused Mahmood of a "horrific and disgusting entrapment". In 2016 Mahmood was jailed for tampering with evidence in the collapsed drugs trial when the "King of the Sting" and his driver Alan Smith, were found guilty of plotting to pervert the course of justice. Publishing director, Ciara Lloyd, who has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to the book, said: "When I read Tulisa's proposal, I knew instantly that I wanted to publish her. "I remember the infamous 'Fake Sheikh' trial well and how unfairly Tulisa was treated, a story that highlighted the bias and misogyny in the press, and in our society. "So, to give a voice to Tulisa and her story as well as showcase her phenomenal talent as a writer is a real privilege. "This is the perfect redemption story for the original Female Boss, and I'm so proud to be publishing her at Blink." Contostavlos is most known for singing in hip-hop group N-Dubz who had hits with songs including I Need You, Girls and Number 1, featuring Tinchy Stryder. In 2011 she became a judge on popular reality singing series The X Factor and a year later she released her debut solo album, The Female Boss. She also released the book, Honest: My Story So Far: The Official Autobiography, in 2012, which detailed her life growing up on a council estate in London, to making music with N-Dubz, and helping girl group Little Mix win The X Factor in 2011. The singer from Camden most recently appeared on the 2024 season of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. Article continues below Judgement will publish in hardback, ebook and audio in August 2025 from Blink Publishing.

Tulisa puts on a very revealing display as she parties in Manchester days after sharing snaps of her swollen face after multiple beauty treatments
Tulisa put on a busty display in a very revealing outfit as she stepped out in Manchester on Sunday for a bank holiday party. The singer, 35, showed off her slim physique in the outfit, which consisted of a black bralet and blazer and figure-hugging pencil skirt. She accessorised the outfit with a black clutch handbag and high heels to create a glamorous, trendy look. She wore her long black hair back in a half ponytail, ensuring that her dark features, which she accentuated with a smokey eye, were on full display. The event was being held at Nauge Manchester, which describes itself as an experimental fine dining experience with events across the UK. The members-only club works with several well-known eateries including Marco Pierre White, and D&D London. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The singer's night out comes after she visited London earlier this week for a whopping six beauty treatments - later revealing her bloodied face on social media. Tulisa showed off her bloodied nose and swollen face in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, after completing a series of procedures to keep her 'eyebrows and cheeks' looking pert. Admitting she was keen to pack in as many treatments as possible, Tulisa revealed she had begun with a muscle-enhancing facial treatment at SkinCAN. The former X Factor star, who has previously shared her struggles with Bells Pallsy, explained: 'It enhances the muscles and gives you this snatched look on the face. It's brilliant if you don't want to use fillers.' Tulisa praised the treatment, saying that she really began to notice the results after being able to go five or six months without using Botox. Following the treatment, Tulisa then shared the results on her face, which included a bloody and sore nose, that left her looking like she'd been 'smacked in the face.' She added: 'I asked Jo to go a bit harder on that area because the next thing I'm doing isn't going to be touching that. No pain, no gain.' Next, Tulisa completed a Collagen Wave with radiofrequency technology, performed by Dermastar's Neelam Patel. The procedure uses heat to stimulate fibroblasts - the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin, resulting in a natural lift and smoothing out fine lines. Sharing that they skipped the usual microneedling treatment, Tulisa told her followers the procedure was 'super relaxing.' Tulisa went onto film herself during a full body massage and reflexology as she enjoyed a moment of calm before her next treatment, followed by Emface, which combines radiofrequency with HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tone muscles. With her face covered in sticky pads, Tulisa admitted her face was going to be 'a little red' following the treatment. The singer was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in 2020 - a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or weakness on one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged or stops working properly. Yet she soon became locked in a vicious cycle of having filler to even out her appearance and her face becoming inflamed and swollen. After years of experimenting, Tulisa said she made the decision to remove the filler from her face and now only uses it in her lips.

Tulisa shares images of bloodied face after undergoing six treatments in one day
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Tulisa has undergone a huge day of treatments that left her face raw and bloodied. The singer, rapper and TV star first rose to fame as part of the R&B/hip hop group N-Dubz with her cousin Dappy and friend Fazer, with the trio having four platinum-certified albums and a string of awards. Then, for a year from 2011, she was a judge on the talent show The X Factor UK, and last year appeared on I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. In recent years Tulisa has been open about cosmetic procedures she's undergone, with the 36-year-old this week offering fans an update as she had back-to-back beauty treatments. 'So guys today I am in London having a beauty day. How many treatments can you get back to back?' she said in a video that showed her laying down on a bed. 'I am starting off with my number one favourite which is SkinCan, a muscle lifting treatment that gives you a snatched look on the face and is great if you don't use filler,' she said. She went on to explain that white paste seen on her face was numbing cream as she was also going to have some skin needling done. 'Get ready for a day of beauty guys! I'm going to take you on the journey' she concluded the first post. After sharing a video of her getting skin needling to 'help produce collagen' she sat in her car and explained that while her face was red, it would 'go down in a few days'. 'The nose looks extra sore because it's so close to the bone. But no pain, no gain!,' she added. Next, she endured the Collagen Wave with radiofrequency technology, which uses heat to stimulate fibroblasts – the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin – that creates a natural lift and tightening effect, smoothing out fine lines and plumping the skin. However, she then skipped her usual microneedling due to time constraints. After filming herself having a full body massage and reflexology, Tulisa then underwent Emface, a needle-free alternative to injectables that combines radiofrequency with HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tone underlying muscles. Showing sticky pads attached to her cheeks and forehead, Tulisa captioned the video: 'On to the emface.' She then travelled to another clinic for the thermavein treatment for her thread veins, sharing a video of herself wincing in pain while receiving zaps to her cheeks. Tulisa then went on to have Ethra laser for redness and collagen production, with the video showing her wearing a pair of black goggles to protect her eyes. By the end of the day, she shared a final video with her followers, saying: 'And that is my beauty day in a nutshell.' 'It will take a few days to heal but I should be ready to rumble by the weekend. Back to Manchester!' Last year Tulisa spoke about having fillers in the wake of a health diagnosis. More Trending Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast So Wrong It's Right, Tulisa explained how she had her first Bell's palsy attack when she was 24 years old, and she had a 'massive burst of inflammation' on her cheek, which she said was like having an 'abcess'. Although she was given antibiotics by her doctor and the swelling went down, then her 'whole face just dropped'. After her face remained in that state for seven months, and so she decided to have fillers to try and 'balance out the symmetry'. Got a story? Tulisa shows off her bloodied nose and swollen face as she enjoys SIX beauty treatments to keep her 'eyebrows and cheeks' pert
Tulisa showed off her results of her marathon beauty day on Tuesday after completing six back-to-back beauty treatments. Tulisa went onto film herself during a full body massage and reflexology as she enjoyed a moment of calm before her next treatment, followed by Emface, which combines radiofrequency with HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tone muscles. With her face covered in sticky pads, Tulisa admitted her face was going to be 'a little red' following the treatment. She then made her way to M Clinic for a thermavein treatment for her thread veins, and shared a glimpse at the painful-looking procedure. Tulisa then ended the day by receiving an Ethra laser for redness and colleagen production - sporting a pair of black goggles to protect her eyes. Following her final procedure, Tulisa showed off her glowing natural complexion, but shared that despite the redness, soothing cream was helping with the aftermath. The N-Dubz hitmaker reassured her followers that the healing typically takes a few days to a week and added: 'I should be ready to rumble by the weekend.' The singer was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in 2020 - a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or weakness on one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged or stops working properly. Yet she soon became locked in a vicious cycle of having filler to even out her appearance and her face becoming inflamed and swollen. Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast So Wrong It's Right this month, Tulisa admitted the problems were particularly bad around the time she reformed with the trio in 2022, ending their 11-year hiatus from the music scene with a new tour and single release. A doctor soon got to the cause after performing an ultrasound on her face, finding 'three chronically infected cysts' in her cheek, one of which popped during an 'explorative operation' due to being so bulbous. Tulisa shared: 'I've no idea what they were caused by, they weren't filler, they were just self-occurring, but I came out of the operation and instantly my face was less swollen. She added that after having her first Bell's palsy attack aged 24, she attempted to use fillers to 'balance out' her face, causing her to be locked in a 'vicious cycle.' Two years passed where the condition was kept at bay, but she started to feel a 'low level swelling' in the same cheek, which rapidly increased. She explained: 'I would have like tingling sensations like little ants crawling in my face. I started seeing doctors all around the UK – "Something's wrong with me, what's wrong with my face" – it was so scary. This went all the way up until this year it was horrific. 'I constantly felt like my cheek was on fire. I'd have good days and bad days and on some days, I'd take steroids, which would bring it down. 'When I was doing that N-Dubz run it was at its worst, so you might see an interview, I look normal. And then you see another interview, it's like, what the hell is going on with my face?' Tulisa also shared her belief that the painful cysts had contributed to a long list of medical concerns she has battled with for years such as sarcoidosis and immune disorders. She shared: 'I've had all these health problems for years – sarcoidosis, immune disorders and this explains all the symptoms that I was getting and could have been causing Bell's palsy because in total there was, I think, six of them. They could have been growing over the years, actually triggering the Bell's.' After years of experimenting, Tulisa said she made the decision to remove the filler from her face and now only uses it in her lips. She added: 'Right now, I only have filler in my lips. There's no filler anywhere else in my face.' Tulisa has always been open about having lip filler and previously joked about her famous trout pout disaster. Tulisa added that after having her first Bell's palsy attack aged 24, she attempted to use fillers to 'balance out' her face, causing her to be locked in a 'vicious cycle' (pictured in 2011) The Young hitmaker raised eyebrows when she showed off an extremely plump pout back in 2014 - leading fans to comment on her rapidly changing face. Reflecting on the incident, the star said on Lorraine: 'I went through stages, I had an allergic reaction to something, and then it took me a while to get rid of it. WHAT IS BELL'S PALSY? Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face. It is a rare condition which is believed to affect around one in 5,000 people each year. It is is believed to occur when the nerve that controls the muscles in your face becomes compressed. The exact cause is unknown, although it's thought to be because the facial nerve becomes inflamed, possibly due to a viral infection. Variants of the herpes virus may be responsible. Around seven out of 10 people with Bell's palsy make a complete recovery, with or without treatment. Most people notice an improvement in their symptoms after about two to three weeks. However, a complete recovery can take between three and six months. 'I still get fillers in my lips, so it's all about maintaining. I'm happy with it now. That's where you're giving yourself a spruce.' Elsewhere in the podcast, Tulisa revealed her plans to get 'fat transfer' in the future to help bring down the bruising in her face which makes her 'paranoid'. She explained: 'I have noticed that where I have been having so many steroid injections into this cheek when it would blow up because of the inflammation. 'As the swelling is going down, I am left with a lot of indentation in this cheek. I've covered it with makeup, it does make me really paranoid. I hate it, no one likes having dents in their cheek or discolouration or things wrong with their face. 'But I will take a bit [of makeup] off so you can see it. It's literally like a bruise, this is the indentation. 'One of the more permanent things you can do is get a fat transfer, which I will do in the future, when I've got time but for now what I'm going to do is a treatment called profhilo.' A surgical fat transfer is cosmetic surgery to move fat from one part of the body to another. It's also known as a "fat graft" or "lipomodelling". Ahead of getting the fat transfer, Tulisa revealed she's undergoing profhilo treatment to bring down the bruising. Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. It comes after the star revealed more insights into her time on I'm A Celebrity, as she admitted became the camp's protestor and even predicted her own elimination. The N-Dubz star was the third to be evicted from the jungle after receiving the lowest public vote, and immediately fled Australia to go back home to the UK. She has since revealed her decision to rush home came from her suffering extreme anxiety and becoming overwhelmed with all the cameras.

Tulisa shows off painful bloodied nose after undergoing six beauty treatments
N-Dubz and I'm A Celebrity... star Tulisa Contostavlos travelled to London for a 'beauty day' as she revealed the six treatments she undergoes to remain looking youthful Tulisa showcased her scraped and bloodied nose after undergoing six beauty treatments as she joked 'no pain no gain'. The N-Dubz singer, 36, took to her Instagram Stories to reveal how she maintains a glowing and youthful look as she travelled to London for a 'beauty day'. "How many treatments can you get in one day back to back?," she joked as she spoke to the camera while lying down on a salon bed as an expert worked on a 'muscle lifting' treatment, which is said to tighten facial muscles. She said: "It enhances your muscles and gives you this snatched look on your face." She then showed her next 'needling' treatment on her scarring, which required her to apply numbing cream before. "I'm going to be a little bit red after this," Tulisa said. The singer later returned to her Stories while sitting in her car. The star turned her face from side to side as she revealed the blood and redness on her cheeks and nose. "As you can see, I'm really red. I look like I've been smacked in the face and it's fine because it will go dow in a few days. The nose is extra sore because it's so close to the bone," Tulisa explained to fans before adding: "No pain, no gain!" She also underwent a collagen wave treatment, which uses radio frequency. The procedure works by using heat to stimulate fibroblasts - the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin. The star took a little break and had a full body massage and reflexology before continuing on to her next few treatments. After completing all her treatments, Tulisa prepared to return to Manchester and said the healing process would taken two days to a week. She said: "I should be ready to rumble by the weekend." She ended her video with a light-hearted: "Beauty secrets by T. You're welcome." Last year, Tulisa opened up about overcoming a major health struggle during a chat with Paul C Brunson. The star said: "I will tell you that running up to I'm A Celeb, during lockdown, I unfortunately became dependent on benzodiazepine. So we're talking zopiclones and diazepam. "I had a backlog of them for flying, for sleeping issues from the trial, tons of them. I was alone during lockdown. I found out my dog had cancer. I got very depressed and I began self medicating. "Now, as lockdown finished, for me it was time to get back to reality. I was like, 'I can't numb myself every day and this anxiety, I can't get to sleep with a sleeper every night. I can't have a diazepam when it hits 9pm to calm me down. So it's time to stop.'' After realising she was becoming dependent on the medications, Tulisa decided to quit them. "Anyway, I came to the point where I was like, 'Enough is enough. I don't care how bad it feels when I don't take it, I'm gonna stop taking it,'' she shared. 'So I just went cold turkey for five days and I ended up in hospital because I didn't know, but my body had become dependent on it."
