PM Anwar expresses condolences to Kedah royal family
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed condolences to the Kedah royal family over the passing of the elder sister of Sultan of Kedah, Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah. "Condolences to His Royal Highness Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman, and the entire royal family on the passing of Yang Teramat Mulia Datuk Seri Tunku Sakinah Almarhum Sultan Badlishah. "May Allah SWT bestow His Mercy, grant forgiveness, and place her among the righteous. Al-Fatihah,' he said in a Facebook post. Yesterday, the Comptroller of the Kedah Royal Household, Datuk Seri Bakar Din, in a statement, said Tunku Sakinah passed away at the age of 95 at Villa Seri Tunku, Kedah, at 6.35am. KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has extended his condolences to the Kedah Royal Family on the passing of the elder sister of the Sultan of Kedah. "Condolences to the entire Kedah Royal Family on the passing of YTM Datuk Seri Tunku Sakinah Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, elder sister of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah. "May Allah bless her soul," His Majesty said in a message shared on his official Facebook page Saturday (Aug 16). The Comptroller of the Kedah Royal Household, Datuk Seri Bakar Din, in a statement, said Tunku Sakinah passed away at the age of 95 at Villa Seri Tunku, Kedah, at 6.35am Saturday. Sultan of Kedah's elder sister dies
ALOR SETAR, Aug 16 — The elder sister of Sultan of Kedah Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, Datuk Seri Tunku Sakinah Sultan Badlishah, died today. She was 95. According to the statement issued by the Comptroller of Kedah Royal Household Datuk Seri Bakar Din, Tunku Sakinah died at Villa Seri Tunku at 6.35 am. 'The remains of Tunku Sakinah will be placed at Istana Kuala Chegar, Alor Setar. She will be laid to rest at the Langgar Royal Mausoleum after Asar prayers. 'Let us pray to Allah SWT for her soul to be blessed and placed among the righteous,' he said. — Bernama
