Somerset in Pictures: Stretching out for summer
It was warm and clear again across Somerset this week, making for beautiful sunsets on the beach. Both Somerset's men and women cricketers have been in action at Taunton, and a new festival is in the works at Chew Valley Lake. Elsewhere, a Manchester United legend lent his expertise to the county's "worst football team". Early risers: A small group of people took part in a lakeside yoga session at Chew Valley Lake, led by Safia Al Maghrabi, in the run-up to the first ever Fire in Your Soul festival, which will take place from 4-6 July. Expert advice: Former Manchester United and England player Gary Neville visited the "Best Worst Team", Tunley Athletic FC, as part of the Specsavers promotion to help the club find success. Ladies first: Somerset's women played Surrey last weekend ahead of the men's county game which started on Friday. By the seaside: The sunny weather this week has generated some lovely coastal photographs such as this one taken at Weston-super-Mare. Cutting the ribbon: A new dementia care home was opened in Yeovil this week by its first resident Julie and special guest Fred Dinenage MBE. The home has 66 beds and specialises in people with Alzheimer's. Man's best friend: Mikey captured this cute dog in a field of yellow flowers near Glastonbury this week.
