Teddi Mellencamp confirms new love

Teddi Mellencamp has a new boyfriend. The 43-year-old reality star - who has children Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and five-year-old Dove with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave - confirmed she has found love again after photos of her and a mystery man began circulating online earlier this week, but she declined to reveal his identity because he is a "private person". Speaking on her 'Two Ts In a Pod' podcast, which she co-hosts with Tamra Judge, Teddi said: 'I'm dating somebody. He's very kind to me, he's taking good care of me. He's nice … he's not married, he doesn't have any kids. But he's also a private person.' Teddi noted her new man had claimed not to know she was in the public eye when they first met, and she had decided to keep his name under wraps so he could retain his privacy. She said: 'I asked him, like, 'Do I even say your name?' and he's, like, it's really whatever you want to do, like, 'I know you're a public person.'' Teddi is battling stage four cancer but revealed last month her tumours had all either "shrunk or disappeared". She wrote on Instagram: on Instagram: "One update I couldn't wait to share! "All tumors stage 4 (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) shrunk or disappeared so I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course. "Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity [heart emojis] (sic)" And shortly afterwards, the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star confirmed she is "doing great" and feeling much better. She told People magazine: 'I'm actually doing great. I had immunotherapy two days ago and they did another round of scans and they said all my tumours are continuing to shrink, so I'm feeling good and I'm happy. 'This the last round of the intense immunotherapy and then I'll be doing immunotherapy for the next two years, every four weeks, but it's like half the dosage that I'm currently on, so then I think it's just going to get easier and easier on me.' Asked recently whether immunotherapy was controlling or curing her cancer, Teddi replied: "It's both. Speaking on 'Two Ts In a Pod', she explained: "It's making sure that it's getting smaller and then let's say that it gets so small that it disappears, it's making sure that it won't form anywhere else in my body. "I was a little bit worried about having to live on immunotherapy because you know how I am when I get super emotional on certain days. But I think that the fact that this is all moving in a smooth path forward is really good news."

Teddi Mellencamp cancer update: Reality star talks treatment, long road to recovery Show Caption Hide Caption John Cena opens up about his past skin cancer diagnoses WWE icon and Hollywood star John Cena has opened up on making two cancerous spots removed in the past. Bang Showbiz Teddi Mellencamp is giving a glimpse into her cancer recovery journey. The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, who shared earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her brain and lungs, revealed during a May 14 episode of her podcast that her body was responding to treatment, but she's not out of the woods just yet. "Last time, they had checked solely my brain, and those tumors are shrinking," she said on "Two Ts In a Pod," the show she co-hosts with fellow "Real Housewives" alum Tamra Judge. "Then, today I had the scan, where they checked my lungs and they are shrinking and one of them has shrunk so much you can barely even see it." While she said her "body is responding to everything," Mellencamp, 43, did reveal that she will need to rely on immunotherapy for the next two years. "So every four weeks for the next two years, I have to come in and get that done," said Mellencamp. "And then every three months I get another scan and we check to make sure that everything is where it is." Immunotherapy refers to a tactic used by doctors to help a person's immune system fight cancer by stimulating it so that it can identify and attack cancerous cells. The reality star, who is daughter to rocker John Cougar Mellencamp, revealed in April that after undergoing treatment, several of her tumors had "shrunk or disappeared." "Doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course," Mellencamp wrote on Instagram at the time. "Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity." Mellencamp, who has been open with fans about her journey, previously told USA TODAY that a positive mindset has been key to her recover. "I'm feeling positive, but I also would say that my mood and my overall energy level shifts by the hour," she said. "There's moments of fear and there's moments of whatever, but as long as I'm moving my body and taking action, then I seem to be in a more positive mindset."
