A study shows that no less than two UK festivals have appeared in the top ten list provided after a recent study. But who came out on top - and where did Glastonbury end up in the top ten, if at all? The bulk of the UK's summer festivals are about to kick off very shortly, with Bearded Theory and Slam Dunk Festival due to take place this week and Download next month. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad What festivals are people searching for the most in 2025, and is Glastonbury top of the list, by chance? | Canva/Getty Images The team at QR Code Generator wondered just that, and issued a study to determine which festivals around the world people are searching for the most. Are any set to be added to your 2025 calendar, especially since Glastonbury is taking a fallow year in 2025? ‘10 years of #blurryface': What is it and why is it trending
Trends on social media are often seasonal – they come, they take over the internet for a while, and then poof.. They vanish into thin air! However, not with the #blurryface trend! Netizens are observing the 10th anniversary of the #blurryface trend, and once again – it has marked significant outreach! What is #blurryface? Primarily, 'Blurryface' is the fourth studio album by the American musical duo Twenty One Pilots , which was released on May 17, 2015. Lyrically, the album incorporated themes of mental health, insecurity, doubt, and religion. The widely popular album contains the hit singles "Stressed Out" and "Ride", both of which reached the top five on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album's title track features the lyrics: 'My name's Blurryface, and I care what you think.' In the context of the album, Blurryface represents the persona of self-doubt and insecurity that the band's lead vocalist, Tyler Joseph, grapples with. This character is depicted with black paint on his neck and hands, symbolizing the internal struggles and fears that many individuals face. The origin of the trend: 10 years back, when the album was released and earned significant accolades and appreciation, the hashtag #blurryface gained massive traction on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where users began to associate it with themes of self-expression, vulnerability, and personal challenges. Content under this hashtag often includes creative edits, makeup transformations, and cosplay inspired by the Blurryface persona, reflecting the album's exploration of identity and mental health. Fans of Twenty One Pilots embraced the "Blurryface" character and its symbolism, leading to various fan-made content, including the "blurry face" trend, where Tyler Joseph's embodiment of "Blurryface" with black paint on his face and hands serves as a visual metaphor for the grip of insecurities, further fueling the trend. The fictional world of Dema, established in "Blurryface" and later explored in "Trench," also connects to the "Blurryface" character and its symbolism. In simpler words, the "blurry face" trend is a manifestation of the band's creative concept, lore, and character, which has resonated deeply with their fan base. Today, 10 years from that trend, netizens are remembering how that album – and in extension, the trend – impacted their lives. As one user on X posted, 'ten years ago today, twenty one pilots released the best album of that decade, (and possibly ever) #blurryface. since then i have lived and breathed this album, the lore, and every single song that tyler joseph has written or been attached to in any way. 10 years ago, i went høme. happy birthday, friend,' another wrote, 'the album that changed my life. ten years have gone by and i'm still here. still the little kid who fell in love with the pilots when she was 8 years old. still alive, still listening. it really does feel like yesterday i was trying to learn the judge on my uke.' The extension of #blurryface: The #blurryface" trend is directly related to the album and the fictional character "Blurryface" who represents the insecurities and doubts within each person. The character "Blurryface" is prominently featured in the album's artwork and songs, becoming a symbolic representation of these themes. For instance, TikTok users have shared videos demonstrating how to achieve the Blurryface makeup look , showcasing the album's influence on visual culture. Additionally, fans have used the hashtag to discuss the impact of the album on their lives, sharing personal stories and interpretations of its themes. What is the #blurryface trend in terms of beauty and makeup? On social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, the "blurry face trend" refers to a visual editing technique where facial features in photos and videos are intentionally obscured or blurred. In terms of beauty and makeup, the #blurryface trend is also known as blurring or soft-focus makeup, focusing on creating a natural, diffused finish that blurs imperfections and harsh lines, rather than achieving a flawless, high-coverage look. It's about softening features and enhancing the skin's natural texture, rather than covering it up. Here's why it still remains relevant and popular: Natural and effortless: Blurred makeup aims for a "just right" finish, somewhere between dewy and matte, creating a natural, airbrushed effect without looking cakey or flat. Forgiveness and acceptance: It's particularly appealing to those who don't have "perfect" skin, as it minimizes the appearance of pores and imperfections by diffusing light and creating a more unified skin texture. Soft-focus effect: The trend uses blurring products, such as primers, powders, and foundations, to create a soft-focus effect, making the skin look smoother and more refined. Celebrity and social media influence: The trend has gained traction on platforms like TikTok and red carpets, with celebrities and makeup artists adopting it for its natural, glowing finish. Twenty One Pilots Fans Jumped Into Veronica Mars Mode After Someone Took Off With One of Josh Dun's Bespoke Drums
If you've ever been to a Twenty One Pilots show you are well aware that the bond between the group and their fans is beyond tight. Aside from the sing-alongs, the costumes and the overall loving, supportive spirit, there is the trusting act on their current world tour of singer Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun wading out into the pit to play drums as the Skeleton Clique sing and dance along to 'Trees.' Well, that trust was apparently broken during the final moments of the duo's show at Manchester's AO Arena on Sunday (May 11) when a concertgoer was seen grabbing one of Dun's drums and casually walking away with it. 'I really don't think you should take that,' one fan can be heard saying in a widely shared video of the alleged theft, as another adds, 'Have I just witnessed a crime. Has she actually just stolen that drum? That's crazy.' The hours long search appeared to pay off when 21P's behind-the-scenes tour videographer Sax posted on Instagram on Monday (May 12) that the one-of-a-kind drum had been returned. 'We Have The Drum!!!!!! – Thank you for all the tags and information. You guys rock!🤘,' wrote Sax along with an image of the purloined instrument safely ensconced in the back seat of a car. In a follow-up video, the band's crew welcomes the drum home, with the message, 'The Drum Returns! THANK YOU to everyone that helped, tagged, and supported the mission in bringing home The Drum. Let's kick off the last two shows of The Clancy World Tour THE RIGHT WAY!' After more than a year on the road in support of their Clancy album, the band has just two shows left on the outing, tonight (May 13) and Wednesday (May 14) at the O2 in London. A fan of American rock group Twenty One Pilots left fellow audience members in shock when she walked off with one of the band's drums at the end of their performance in Manchester last night. The drama prompted a scramble by staff at AO Arena and other fans to locate the woman at a nearby hotel where the was handed back. Footage shared on social media by @tillitaint shows a young woman with the drum in her hands - she can be heard saying 'I'm taking it'. Another said: "Have I just witnessed a crime? Has she actually just stolen a drum?" The drama prompted an online campaign by fans to find the drum. Other footage believed to be of the hotel posted at about 9am today showed a man on a phone with the custom-made drum in his hands, before it was eventually re-united with the band. It means the duo from Ohio, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, are back in possession of the drum in time for their concerts in London from tomorrow. Instagram account saxontour, who is traveling with the band on the Clancy world tour, posted a photo of the missing drum in the back seat of a car and said: "We have the drum!!!!!! Thank you for all the tags and information. You guys rock!" A spokeswoman for the AO Arena said: "Following a particularly interactive part of the show where the band performed on the arena floor, one of the drums was taken away by a fan. "The item was quickly recovered by the venue team, and has been returned safely to the tour ready for their sold out show in London tomorrow night."

Twenty One Pilots fan 'steals custom drum from band' in outrageous UK gig video
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Twenty One Pilots fans have taken to social media in a rage after footage emerged of a woman appearing to steal a drum after their Sunday evening concert. Once the lights had come up at Manchester's AO Arena on May 11, a woman was videoed seemingly carrying the band's drum towards the exit of the venue. 'No, I'm taking it,' the woman can be heard saying, before asking: 'Why not?' while shocked fans filming the moment questioned: 'Girl, I really don't think you should take that!' Another voice said: 'Have I just witnessed a crime? Has she actually just stolen a drum?' The US band, composed of frontman Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun, are on their Clancy World Tour, with their next stop in London's O2 on May 13 and 14. But it seems there was somewhat of a last-minute behind the scenes panic after a fan allegedly stole one of Josh's custom-made drums from the stage after the gig. Luckily, the drum appears to have been found safe and sound and will be on its way to London for the next gig. Instagram account saxontour, who travels with the band on the Clancy World Tour, posted a photo of the missing drum in the back seat of a car and said, 'We have the drum!!!!!! Thank you for all the tags and information. You guys rock!' Some commenters claimed the woman in question gave the instrument up 'willingly' after fans tipped the band off over the location of the drum in a local hotel. Many took to the comment section to share their relief, as mrscharlottejennings said: 'I'm so glad it's back with its rightful owners. 'I've had no sleep because we were keeping an eye out at the hotel, I hope the security that spent the night in their car can go and get some well earned rest now, soo happy to see it being put in the car this morning.' cats00pp said: 'This is so utterly embarrassing for the fandom. Glad you guys got it back. After all these shows people have been so respectful of their equipment till now. I hope it doesn't affect shows in the future.' Others were simply lefty in shock, reflecting on the bizarre incident. 'HOW DO YOU STEAL A WHOLE DRUM??? NO ONE SAID ANYTHING??? This is insane..' said bereini on Reddit. 'Sometimes when you act confidently enough people assume whatever you're doing is okay, or don't second guess it at all,' added raccoonchaos. Another user claimed: 'We were behind them all the way up to the steps to the exit to the train station telling everyone that Josh had given it to them. 'The person that they were with kept asking if it was really given to them and they kept saying Josh said to keep it! 'We wish we would have said something but we went through four or five security and lots of other lovely fans who were all clearly surprised but I guess it was relatively believable for the band to be so kind as to give that away.' Josh has previously talked about how fond he is of the drumkit, which was made specially for the tour by SJC Custom Drums. In a YouTube video unveiling his kit, Josh explained how each drum has an 'acrylic shell' over a wrap of the artwork from their seventh studio album, Clancy. 'I love acrylic. I love the way that they sound and look, and there's a lot of versatility,' he said. 'What's cool about that is that the [elevated stage] that I'm on has lights that shoot up from underneath and when they hit the drums, they kind of illuminate.' Pointing out each individual drum, one of which appeared to be captured in their video, he said: 'This rack tom is a 12×8, the kick drum is a 20×22 and the floor tom is a 14×16. They are relatively standard drum sizes but ones that I've found sound really good.' Luckily, Josh's one golden drum he hand-signed – so he 'knows it's mine' – wasn't taken… More Trending The drumkit makers described the collection as a 'masterpiece'. 'We're beyond thrilled to share the one-of-a-kind custom drum kit we handcrafted for Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots,' they said. 'This kit is a true masterpiece, reflecting Josh's energy and creativity while delivering the powerful sound needed to rock arenas worldwide. 'From the bold aesthetics to the intricate detailing, every element was tailored to Josh's vision and the band's dynamic performances.' Got a story?
